Yes but in reality they are 2 dimensional and have barely any width. So there's barely any space to have blood, much less a heart

That's actually an interesting idea:

Unbelievable would be a new special that has a maximum of 10% chance to hit.

Stick figures consist entirely of blood. It's just barely held back by a reneweable black membrane. That's why when they are hit, a fountain of blood springs up and then instantly stops.
