And I just love it when people judge by the number of the posts or date registration. So cute.
Yeah. I second that. :-)

Do I hear a fight? Do I see the contestants gather to the ring? In one corner, D Pats, heavy weight of map design, and in the other corner the slightly less known, but confident, lord of the undead! Ladies and gentlemen, this may prove to be the fight of a lifetime...err... of the day. :-)

Maybe.

Besides, how about if I choose the map? Or the gold and XP settings? How easy it is to rig a match just by choosing the circumstances...

(Most of us have already been through that phase.)

What you might not realize is that most of us play a lot of Wesnoth, and since the community is quite small, the best players tend to gravitate towards each other. Very very very rarely are new players able to compete against experts. Most of the time they just get splattered as experts leverage their knowledge of the game to crush them. Thats even more so against Undead which are likely one of the most difficult factions to play with... which leads me and others to be all the more skeptical about your claim that you will give us an education.
I suspect having one foot in the past is the best way to understand the present.

Was there an invitation to teach you in gaming?
I merely said what I said, nothing more nor nothing less. It's your problem if you read between the lines.
Undead is one of the most difficult races to play. People often think it's an easy target, and that's wrong. You may think whatever you want, it doesn't concern me at all.
PS Although such activity among "veterans" is a bit interesting.

I will not tell you my corner / where threads don't get locked because of mostly no reason /
because I don't want your hostile disease / to spread all over the world.
I prefer that corner to remain hidden /

Paterson has 500 posts and for example EP has 7000... That logically means that EP is about 14 times better player than Doc here.

Use Less, I see you on the server, but I can't figure out which game you're in......

That'd be a nice feature to implement- Click on the player name and it'd tell you which game they're in.

my rating of factions:

1. Elves use them lots and unlock their hidden power
2. Dwarves these guys are rock solid
3. Loyalists they are good
4. Undead are so cheap
5. Northeners alright
6. Drakes overpowered and to weak in defense

the dwaves are the best hands down, there is no way to stop six or so grypons when they dart around a map and take all your villages.

and people say that dwaves are to slow but they can move through harsh terrain much quicker than anyone else can.
[/rant]

kill one man your a murderer
kill ten men your a monster
kill a hundred your a hero
kill a Thousand your a legend

Doc Paterson is probably playing BFW about 2 times longer than you.

I didn't play BFW for a long time so i can't tell anything more right now...besides that i need to start playing again :)

New players tend to have an inflated sense of their abilities and knowledge. I think this is pretty well established. I've tried to find Use Less on the server, but have still, to date, had no luck. There's no need for other people to jump in and make this into more of a drama. Because really, it's nothing big at all.

So, how about that original topic?

:P

On this Thanksgiving Day, let us be thankful for THE NORTHERNERS.

no, let's be thankful for low traffic.
It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.

Undead are strong.
But if you get ´em at the right point they are weak...
(Mages can kill them all, except for the adept (who is lost against a ulfserker  ) )
First read, then think. Read again, think again. And then post!
