same bat time...(couldn't help myself)

For exemple:
hour(14:00)
could be translated from host local time to UTC for the server then translated again to destination localtime.
The day may change from a zone to another, also.
I think that it could be quite interesting to have Wesnoth time on the server, but it could also get quite irritating if the only way to tell the time were by memorizing some arbitrary code. I'd suggest that the naming system be as creative as anyone can make it, but don't implement it until there is a way to translate local time to Wesnoth time and back again.

"Wanna meet tomorrow at the hour of the dead (0:00)?" ->
"Wanna meet tomorrow at sundown (20:00)?"

Even that's more reasonable than naming hours after specific Wesnoth units; if hours are named after creatures, they should be widely-known creatures that are in fact active at that time. So dawn could be "The Hour of the Lark" and dusk "The Hour of the Bat"; but I really can't agree with "The Hour of the Runemaster" :?
Naming times based on faction culture seems like it could be fun, and I agree that it would be better than just naming hours after units. Even somewhat large time frames can be split up by hours (first hour, second hour, etc.).

Just have a list of what comes after what. Then you don't really have to "translate" the time.
If stupidity got me into this, it should get me out.

I'm sure that made complete sense to you. It's too vague for me. I know that my posts could be more concise, but there is a limit.
