I think it's really outstanding. :D

A couple of things for factional and turn balance:

-It might be best to move the P1 start as far south as possible, while moving the P2 start slightly south as well (so that the total distance added between them approximates one turn of movement, so as to dull any advantage P1 might have by reaching the center of the main bridge first.)

-You may want to increase the ammount of rocky-river terrain, because movement over the rivers can be critical, and Drakes that would just skip over it in one turn would have a bit of an edge. This would bring other units closer to the sort of movement a Drake would have. An alternative that addresses the same issue would be slightly increasing the ratio of water villages to non water villages. It would be particularly good to put a bit more rocky river in the north and south; otherwise, the south eastern and north western forts don't seem very useful.

Very cool map overall- I really like it a lot and enjoyed the game I tried on it.

Are the different shades of grass intentional? It's interesting, really. 8)

Great job.

Yes, the different shades of grass are intentional.:) I find it looks more interesting that way...

I have played two games on this map and one was against Drakes. (who was my brother actually) I noticed the advantage, so something should be done.

Actually i originally thought that the castles should be more south but i changed them under inspiration of my brother. Maybe that was a mistake, but i wanted to test the map first with others. (I didn't want to post it directly to you Doc);)

Maybe the northwest fort should go bit south too if the starting castle does?

River ford (rocky river) i should definately add to south and north, i already figured that out, but forgot to change it before "releasing" this map.

Some changes will be made, but i would like to have more opinions first.

I'm glad that this map is liked.:) (maybe i'll post more of them later, but one at a time)

This has nothing to do with this, but i do think that STNA Narsissi should use you instead of u and so on... He will read this, so I told him before he did do that.;) Not on my thread!

I was the first to play this map with deserter and won him by playing drakes (random but lucky pick). We noticed that the map was really good and i liked it a lot but it was too easy for the drakes to have advantage... Doc ur comments were absolutely good about improving the map Deserter shoul make new version and i think he has some made already. We have to test it as well :). But this is exellent map for sure after some adjustments. I liked it at the first time from beginning. :D about that u / you :) ;) heh. this may become inside joke... By the way of topic as well. i should post replay for you (DOC) about castle hopping island and exploiding it by the undead when u have player 1 or player 2. Or maybe i have just been so damn lucky ;)

New version....

Post by deserter »

There's been few comments. By them I made a new version. (Narsissi was quite right then)
Tell me now if it's better or worse than original.
And most importantly do tell me if there's something wrong with it.
Also feel free to say anything you thought of it.

I have noticed that Knalgan Alliance with gryphons (almost) only tactics is hard to beat.

They capture villages quickly and are so powerful and fast that they very effectively hit and run if they are many...´

Should I move villages closer to starting castles or should i reduce them and increase the gold/village setting.

Or isn't there a problem at all?
