freim; do you think that problem lies with ubuntu? could it be something specific only to linux? i wonder if windows users have any issues. it's a shame, because i played for a week wondering what the hell i had done wrong!

using synaptic in ubuntu last night allowed me to add all the original campaigns and the music (which i think is pretty cool). i just opened a search window, typed "wesnoth" and all the available packages came up. install to your hearts content.

I have this problem with Ubuntu as well. I only have sound effects, no music.
did anyone manage to help the original poster, or are we all just going to bash Ubuntu?
