Outlaw poacher level 3 - Ranger or Huntsman ??
I prefer ranger (to huntsman), definitely. They have balanced melee/ranged strikes, higher HP are very effective in woodland (more than Huntsmen). And so on....
Higher ranged damage of Huntsman doesn't matter to me.
Note: I am bored. That's why I opened this topic.

i had found him now. i cant get both at the boat at same time? is it possible? wright here if its possible I don't know. It looks like I've experienced the same problem as you. If you move one unit (Eldromir or Illanin) to the ship, it is occupied and the second hero simply isn't able to get there....

' The thing is, they become _low HP 20-30% weak to damage_ elusive units with damage comparing to regular ones. Yeah, but thieves are really CHEAP. Well, okay, so they're not that much cheaper than other 'cheap' units, but hey, they're quickish too. ;) Probably pretty balanced, overall, though it's...

Re: Wesnoth 1.0: Northerners vs Northerners, the basics from
Orc Grunt- Mostly useless. ..... Troll Whelp- The backbone of the army. ..... I'm afraid I can't agree at all. Especially by grunts. That's almost demagogical. In addition: Pack of assasins backed up by archers will efficiently defeat an equal amount of full - healed troll whelps (Ranged poison, go...

I joined the dwarves. I concentrated my resistance south of Kaleh's new keep. I sent only a delaying force to the east, to help the fighting dwarves. When the Troll Leaders are finished (pretty hard task - your elves aren't too good in the caves - you should control them that they can easily reach t...

lol in my HTTT campaign Blackwater Port scenario, the boss is in a village with hp <10. I use my loyal horseman to charge him, but it got killed instead  So I guess I should charge only in 2 conditions: 1. the enemy is low in hp AND on a terrain with <=40% defense 2. the enemy does very litt...

When it´s time to "charge".
I don´t like too much this tactic, but I know, that in many cases it´s necessary to send a few Horsemen or even Lancers to engage their enemies in "charge" and let them devastate the enemy or be destroyed by doubled defence of their foes. Charge, however, is very powerful attack. I u...

Fighting in narrow areas
Narrow lanes, mostly in a cave, can easily stop your progress and thus make the mission more difficult. Howewer, these may serve as a perfect defensive - delaying post . In this case it´s very important to have some shocktroopers (or Iron Maulers) in your army. I have encountered this situation f...
