[visual interface] Match Point attack visual effect

Hello all, I haven't found anything with 'Match Point' in the forums, hence I dare to post this idea. I like to play games but also to view (as quiet observer) nice matches opposing high ranked BfW players. Sometimes a player has the choice to go for an uncertain "leader kill" or to do oth...

Re: Wesnoth 1.8.0

Thank you "penguin" for the hint. BTW I had missed this : http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=29482&start=0 (1.8 MP lobby) which says : "we're trying to be proactive and deal with these issues as soon as possible. We've established a special working group and we'r...

Re: Wesnoth 1.8.0

Hello all, Hmm... I have to say that I don't like too much the new aspect of lobby. Images are really short, list of names (font used) are smaller than before and the list of names that you can see in the same moment is shorter. I agree. I've discovered BfW in the pre-0.8 era and I like it very much...

Is siding with the Dwarves an option ?

Has anybody sided with the Dwarves and succeeded ? (medium difficulty)
Or is this senario unwinable unless you choose the winning faction ?

I like this campaign. I have enjoyed previous scenarios. But this one is a stopper.

I sided with the dwarves, and round about the time the trolls cast their spell which makes the screen flash one of the troll shamen on the far right starts moving really slowly. He moves through cavewall and moves much further than he should do. Has no one else found this? It takes ages, and is qui...

Re: to heal or not to heal...

I'd like my badly wounded unit resting in a village with a (so weak) white mage and a shaman near it to get 8+2+8+4 HP. I would think this to be a little too much  I would like to see a new healing system, however, it will need to be far more simple, maintain balancing and still be feasible. ...

to heal or not to heal...

Even the "limit on total healing by each healer" is quite ill-defined and anti-KISS. I agree. Even more : could the "limit on total healing GOT by each wounded" rule be reconsidered ? I'd like my badly wounded unit resting in a village with a (so weak) white mage and a shaman ne...

disconnecting, aborting, playing, surrender

Worker Bee : about surrender, please have a look at this thread :
http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7121

An ally or an observer could replace a quitting "player", or the game could be gracefully ended (with win and loss) but never aborted. So there would be no frustration.

Surrender tells who has won

It may be cool to have a "surrender" feature like the one in Warcraft II.

Wesnoth 1.0 rocks, thank you all for this nice game :-)
