8680:
That's a matter of caching. Delete your cache and you should be fine ;)

I've cleared my cache and restarted my browser five times now, and I still don't see it. Oh well, I never look at it anyway.

favicons are often stored in a separate cache - it'll reset itself eventually.

I use firefox and windows. I noticed today my village icon for this forum on firefox changed to new one (I dont remember I did anything for it). But if you are looking for old village icon be replaced everywhere, just note that it didnt changed for "ReferenceWML" on my browser.
Be aware English is not my first language and I could have explained bad myself using wrong or just invented words.

Firefox 3.6 seemed to have lots of caching issues with favicons that weren’t solved by anything short of a complete configuration wipeout — not even a cache reset did the job for me in some cases. I don’t know how true this is with Firefox 4.0 but 6.0a2 seems to work correctly for me in that regard.

Why it did change for the forums and not elsewhere for you? Because I changed the path to the favicon in the XHTML template for all forum styles. I left the paths elsewhere unchanged, so Firefox goes with the (outdated) cached versions. Plural, because the favicon lives in different locations for some [censored] reason. $deity bless the people who designed and managed the site before. *Grumble*
