It's an idea that can be used in any faction that wants chariots, and fits your "nefarious magic prerequisites".

True, but what would the local Lavinian magistrate say if he found out that there was magic loose in the local arena?

Thanks for the thread bump.

I downloaded Pixen and again tried my hand at pixel art, but it confirmed what I have long suspected: before producing anything that looked remotely decent, much Wesnoth quality, I would need to read "Drawing for Dummies," if there is such a thing.

However, here are some photos of some an authentic Roman mosaic that depicts gladiators:

Yes there is drawing for dummies, to it is highly complex. How do I know, well I own a copy :D, I made be a good hand-drawer, but not that good pixel artist, and I don't have a scanner. So you see my problem with not being able to help out with wesnoth. I have tonnes of great pictures, just no scanner :(

I'd offer to help but I do too much offering and not enough helping--it would takes years for me to do it...and my art isn't good enough yet, IMO to be of much use...

Oreb: have you tried school/local library to use a scanner there? or mayhaps bummed off a friend (my ways :) )
...please remember that "IT'S" ALWAYS MEANS "IT IS" and "ITS" IS WHAT YOU USE TO INDICATE POSSESSION BY "IT".--scott

School has scanners, teachers only. Unless it is for your work. But, since I do Media I can draw something than put it on the computer. Hmm... we'll see.

And I'm too lazy (and kind :D ) to bother a friend, and the local library his $2, and I don't want to spend money.
