Ok i think I can start this unit, correct me if you don't like it:

[unit]
id=Macro chip
name= _ "Macro chip"
race=Artifact
image=""
image_defensive=""
hitpoints=25
movement_type=fly
movement=7
experience=18
[advancement]
max_times=100
id = tough
description = _ "tough"
[effect]
apply_to=hitpoints
increase_total=2
[/effect]
[/advancement]
level=0
alignment=neutral
advanceto=null
cost=12
usage=scout
unit_description= _ "These little robots have the capacities of having any evolution. They were chosen by they're master because of they're tiniess and they're agility. Most of these were destroyed by the forces of the undeads but a part survived and they reproduced them selves with the resources that they had. Mostly metal. "

[attack]
name=minielectric charge
type=cold
range=short
damage=2
number=2
[/attack]

[attack]
name=metal eating
type=cold
special=drain
range=long
damage=5
number=1
[/attack]
[/unit]

From now i think that I will need some images and names.

i think you have a good idea going. I think a lot of people got confused when you first stated the idea, but now that you're showing examples of what you mean, it's a lot more understandable. It's hard to comment on a limited amount of units, why don't you make a few more example units and tell us why you think they are balanced and would fit into wesnoth.

Ok but how did some peoples managed to make them.
I first suggest you download scott's default 2 and look how it works, use the wiki to find any WML. Just basically copy other people work to start with, don't try and actually learn it.... Just say copy 1 of the eras and call it whatever you want and then change like all the different bits like the name andd stuff. Once you have a era which works works then copy someone elses units files and replace all the values and save it as your own.

Don't forget the imperial era scott.

Hey, if you have a basic unit description, and why the people (erm, artifacts and maybe some people) are working together, history should be added after everything is made. Hey there are still a few gaps in wesnoth history anyway. I say just make the faction, but out some stuff, and the nice forum people will rip it up, erm, i mean help you out....

Um what happened to the Magic the Gathering©-esque-ness?
You seem to be going electronic / cyberpunk with it instead of technomancy.

Prefer terms like "golem" to "robot" and "artifact" to "microchip".

Something like the Atlantean units from Mage Knight.

These seem like good units for Wesnoth 3000. Where is that dwarven space marine of old?

If you look at an artifact deck or the Atlantean forces it's not all machines. They'll have techno-magicians and common guards to protect and maintain their machines.

What's your hook with this new race? You could have some of the key golems taking 1 hp damage per round to represent running out of power somehow. They need to be "recharged" in a village, or by a tech-mage? Maybe after they reach half HPs they can't move more than 2 MPs or something? Are they going to be slow? Some slow? Do you want some kind of collossus? Do these things even gain experience? Is experience gain limited to the living part of the army? If so how does experience gained by the mages/engineers help increase the fighting ability of the golems?

You want some little flying drones. Do they have any special vulnerabilities? Presumably they wouldn't be built solidly like the land golems.

These were only units which can move very good inland. I'll prepare the marine later.

Maybe the marine should start with a lvl 1 unit coming from:

lvl 0: Small drone
->Aquatic droid
->Ship
->Marine droid

Hmm the names still imply to much techno and you may want to stick with the race just not having marine movement it is a catch in itself they can't cross water except by flying. As for names the first were less techno sounding then the second set. Droid, robot, machine all are newer terms the older terms for such tings are, construct, golem, guardian etc. Also back then machines were often reffered to by what they could do like gunner would be made archaic and bbe multishot or impaler or something like that. Hmm lastaly you do need at least one non robot unit in the faction to represent the creator and repairer of the things. Which if you wanted could be what your hero unit for campaigns could come from as well.
May the drakes bloody kill you all.

So, some rebelious dwarven tinkerers and runesmiths decided to study the Dark Arts but being inclined to metalwork they applied it to their contraptions instead of applying it to organic flesh, believing this would result into a more resistant and effective army.[/brainstorming]
