Even though it looks filtered, it is still nice.
That is a terrific style for storyboards, jap.

Thank youThat is a terrific style for storyboards, jap.

I used a photo as a base for the picture but in reality Bohus fortress (north of Gothenburg in sweden) only has one tower left standing.
I live close to a lot of old buildings (some whole and some in ruin) fortresses, churches, small farms.
So i can easily take photographs to have something to work with.
If there is something that is needed let me know and i will give it a try.
Another one in the same style, It was a lot harder when you did something a little more closeup.
But i think it came out alright.
The original photo is not mine, but it is under the GNU license so there is no problem right?

The result is quite good and looks interesting, but the original picture is under GFDL, which is afaik not working together with GPL and the lightsources are different in your picture. In the foreground the sun is above your right shoulder and in the woods a bright sun is shining from the left.
Maybe it is caused by the two suns of wesnoth.

Your treatment of the photographs isn't that bad. If you're interested in making painting/drawing-like images of photographs in general, one a bit different approach was discussed in this thread.

Okey thats god to know, i have redone it with one of my own photos. The result is quite good and looks interesting, but the original picture is under GFDL, which is afaik not working together with GPL and the lightsources are different in your picture. (And just one sun)

And after advice from a friend i made the background look more like the foreground.
Interesting but at least for the moment i prefer the "sloppy oilpainting style" i use.Your treatment of the photographs isn't that bad. If you're interested in making painting/drawing-like images of photographs in general, one a bit different approach was discussed in this thread.
