Non-human necromancy

I think elves are a perfect candidate for necromancy. Elves are not used to seeing death, not the civilians anyway. So when a loved one dies from illness or war It would cause great pain and would feel like the death was against the natural order of elves, so a elf might be so heartbroken that it seeks to revive said loved one.

A good point. It might be that elves seek more to resurrect the spirits of elves that die in battle, while humans want more to extend their own lives...
