How did you find out about Wesnoth?

i found it on a freeware games site ... however i dont remember which ...

it s not mentioned in the poll ... BfW was the most popular dl there in strategy games.... so i had a look and it looked nice and interesting so i downloaded and started to play immediately

now still playing it mostly in single player mode (campaigns or some maps vs ai)

multiplayer mode is even better

I got to know Wesnoth last year by an RSS feed about new freeware and shareware downloads on http://www.chip.de which is the website of a German computer magazine (see http://www.chip.de/downloads/c1_downloads_17625051.html).

i found wesnoth on a cd wich was in a german magazin...

wasnt that interested but i remembered the name some weeks later and downloaded it after ive found the wesbite with google

I was reading about the cockatrice on wikipedia and one of the images was of the Wesnoth version.

I typed into google "top 10 free games" and I found Wesnoth in the first finding on the first place

In fact I was searching passively a long time for something like this.
