Perhaps you should just post what is finished.Seiryu wrote:Appleide seems to have dropped Wesnoth...
So this era can no longer be continued...
Or if someone wants to take the artworks place then... maybe we can work out...
Than we can look what is useable what is already lieing around and what must be still done.

That doesn't make it easier. You shouldn note artists are layzy they want it a little bit more specific what you need else you can't expect much help. Not to raise any hopes but if someone buts some efffort into it he can perhaps expect some help.Seiryu wrote:Nothing has really been saved... apart the things which are on the forum...

No offense to those who have already worked on this era, but it seems to me that any artist who wanted to get on board with the project could justifiably set aside most of what has already been done and start from scratch.
Don't get me wrong, I like the art that has already been done for this era, so much so that I used to use one of the Taki images as my avatar, but most of it just doesn't fit the Wesnoth style.

I agree with Temuchin. Like him, I meant no offence. Really, this faction has lots of potential. Though I have some personal opinions I'd like to share...Temuchin Khan wrote:No offense to those who have already worked on this era, but it seems to me that any artist who wanted to get on board with the project could justifiably set aside most of what has already been done and start from scratch.

Don't you think that this faction reflects too much upon the real world? As in, its too similar to what we used to have in the past in the real world.

Ok I had a look at the graphics. They should be good placeholders at first. The biggest thing are the head and the size. Some Frankensteining and some stretches should make them a bit more confom with the rest (OK and some heavy extra shading).
Neo did something useful in the past perhaps they can be used too.

There heads can be used too some cut and paste jobs might help.

Uh well not so fast I've already got a butload to do.
but I can try to do some edits but you could help me if you give me a kind of Unit tree like this.
So I can see what is Lv1 and what advances from what.

Not exactly. Kafka wanted a combined Chinese/Japanese faction and got mad and left when the rest of us wanted distinct Chinese and Japanese factions.Seiryu wrote:Argh... then don't worry... I'll do the art... 'cause you look too busy^^
Anyway... This era was Kafka's idea... he wanted to include the chinese faction also... So if someone wants to make it...
He thought that if he made a combined Chinese/Japanese faction it would be accepted into mainline. We all know what the chances of that would have been....

It would be too unfair! With Samurai and Ninjas on the same faction, no one would beat them.Temuchin Khan wrote:Not exactly.
