yes your updates had been included in the version up.loaded when this thread became active again
uhm in the 3.1 uploaded in the server there isn't any of the mine updates(infact i posted the other version of my updates based on the 3.1 ageless version few post later)

well they were supposed to be because i fixed a few bugs in it and sent it to mnewton for inclusion in that release. mnewton did you include what i sent you?

i suggest to post the era with my updates on the official server becouse there are - bugs,+ faction and a better balancing(without upheavals)


*can i give ideas for new faction??for example the steelhive are soo good(and is a very "strange faction" if u consider the gameplay style :o)another good idea is(as said mmnewton some post ago)a "Free goblin" faction...another good faction can be the "Monsters" with mud crowler,yetis,tarantulas,scorpion,wolf etc etc etc(all the monster and all the animal there are in the campaign)

That's suggested so often it's bordering on FPI. The reason it hasn't been done is (1) the monsters are so very different and not balanced to be put in a faction and (2) you would need a lot of art/code for lvl 1s, 2s, etc. of monsters. You'd basically need to make a line where most are only one unit. It'd be easier to just make your own faction.

That being said, a baby scorpion was my first sprite if anyone wants to look it up and use it.

i finally got ageless again and did some quick testing. here are a few things that I think are a bit weird:

EOM warg stalker does 5-4 damage when its a skirmisher, it should probably be 4-4 or 5-3 or something.

the elementals haven't changed even though they are completely off balance: could you try and fix them?

the stephe orcs have no scout or water unit.

the dark legion is all lawfull.

the ukian horseman has 16 hp.

orc gladiators have 2 lvl 0's on their side.

free saurian lizard rider and swamp saurian still suck: try upping their damage just a bit. (congrats on the new units though: they really balance out the faction)

and one faction whose name i forgot has lvl 1's with 9-3 base damage.

one weird thing was that the loyalists and orcs have new units, but none of the other default guys do.
and also the anakes don't have plague. ( i'm not even sure they should at this point)

Actually i try to make to the era a crazy thing LOL!

i just had a random thought: could you make it so that there is a version called ageless balanced, for example? with only completely balanced factions? so that way the host of the game could stop people from being some overpowered factions like the welkin, for example.

/me cries because the kitsune still don't have fire attacks...

but seriously, if you change nothing else about the yokai, could you give the kitunse and the nine-tails fire attacks? i now its nothing huge or anything, its just...distracting...kinda like a mosquito bite.

PS- i like wesfreak's idea, it would start to make a baseline for the other factions to be balanced against.

Can you re-post this without the new factions? Plz don't add any new factions. I am working with the new factions in my secret project :wink: And I added your older up-dates that Huston sent me.

Edit: And suggestions on what eras or factions should be added besides the Mercs., Stealhive, Brungar, and the War for Chaos era?

brungar ar not done yet. i'm hoping they will be around christmas time, but at the current rate they won't until around easter or longer. we need more spriters.

I'll have lots of time to work on sprites over Christmas break. That means I'll probably finish Steelhive and start working on Thunderstone and EotF by Christmas. This means that you Era of the Future guys will have more than a little bit of my aid. If anyone cares.
