Sorry when I wrote should I meant that you are right, it doesn't make sense. I assumed they could be dehydrated erroneously. The maintainer could just make them all immune (inc. zombies, I'm sure they don't mind getting the water sucked out of them - although I suppose it ought to leave them as skeletons : ) to the effect.

Re: Era of High Sorcery
I looked and there is a version for 1.16 anyways. Addons seem to rarely need much if any change for 1.18 so the old version could still work.

Re: Era of High Sorcery
Well, it's a mostly Lua add-on, so there is a lot more stuff that could break between wesnoth versions than with WML.
My active add-ons: The Great Steppe Era,XP Bank,Alliances Mod,Pestilence,GSE+EoMa,Ogre Crusaders,Battle Royale,EoMaifier,Steppeifier,Hardcoreifier
My inactive add-ons (1.12): Tale of Alan, The Golden Age
Co-creator of Era of Magic

What I mean is the versions beyond 1.16, I am honest to god downgrading my Wesnoth for EoHS, but you can’t stay on an old version forever. 1.16’s EoHS is also kinda laggy, and prone to mid-turn slowness

FD: Yeah I was tempted to add that disclaimer about it being lua and complex. Good that you mentioned it.
SSP: You can install multiple versions of BfW. I have 1.12/14/16 and for the moment 1.19 (switching to 1.18 when I am able - flatpak problems currently) all happily installed. It does cost more disk space but that's not that big a deal this century... EoHS will always be laggy in any version btw, it's just a heavy program. : )

Re: Era of High Sorcery
The older versions weren’t quite as prone to grinding to an screeching halt like the current version is, and while yeah, Wesnoth was never designed with shenanigans like this in mind, I also end up avoiding EoHS a lot of the time simply because it’s too slowAtreides wrote: ↑August 17th, 2024, 4:16 pm FD: Yeah I was tempted to add that disclaimer about it being lua and complex.
