Aleksi's Orc Theme
I found it a year or two ago in his website and downloaded it. Kept it in all my hard disks, wandering around, since then, as I can no longer find it to download (though the topic is still in this forum).
Since the topic is too old (EDIT: ouch, I thought I clicked "new topic", not "reply") and I don't want to be crushed for necromancy, could I ask: Can I use it in my campaign? Or well, I'm already using it, just for you knowledge. I wonder too if there has been any further progress, or it was the final version that just was forgotten?

Well, i was planning to finish it, but it has been really hard to keep up with Wesnoth since i have a lot of work on other projects. So, for the moment i cannot say when i'll finish it. But i do plan to!
So, until then, yes you can use it for your campaign.
Cheers,
Aleksi.
P.S. We are talking about the same music right? Heavy percussion at start, with heavy brass sections that come along?
I love this track but it makes me picture demons or undead, rather than orcs.
I first heard (an older version of) it in The Unstoppable Legion campaign, and I may be prejudiced because of that, but I think it portraits unknown and mysterious terror, rather than savages and brutes. Some segments of the track seem to show the imagery of overwhelming hordes which could be suitable for orcs, but a large part make me think about stealth and magic, which are not significant in the orc's tactics. Does anyone else feel this way?

I do too. That's why I used it in a test campaign as music for a massive undead scenario.hagabaka wrote:I love this track but it makes me picture demons or undead, rather than orcs.
