I like your modifications to the swordsman line. Especially the Royal Guard. The cloak is out of position, but good riddance to the purple armor!

Why do you think that? As far as I can tell, it's a clear improvement, and things like that are not lightly discarded.Disto wrote:But there isn't actually gonna be much chance this is gonna get used so...

Jetryl is only one person, and made only one comment:
I also think that the Swordsman and Royal Guard Shadow made are worse than the current images.
Also, this was only a comment on the Spearman. It may or may not apply to its upgrades.Jetryl wrote:The breastplate actually may have some improvements in placement of armor plates.
However, as has been duly noted, this sprite, unlike the size increase made by shadow, has moved BACKWARDS in several more important respects, such as proportion, and shape.

Unfortunately, Jetryl is also our top artist right now, and, while I've kept silent until now, I do agree that the Spearman looks out of proportion. Shadow's height alterations struck me as perfectly acceptable.
On the other hand, I think the modified Swordsman does look more like a Level 2 unit than the version it replaces. It needs a couple of modifications, but the new stance is cool.

I guess I'm in the minority again, since I think Shadow's Spearman is worse than Disto's.Sangel wrote:Unfortunately, Jetryl is also our top artist right now, and, while I've kept silent until now, I do agree that the Spearman looks out of proportion. Have a look at the Elvish Ranger's cloak, then try to put it back on. Don't be afraid of covering a bit of the armor.Disto wrote:Well i've taken the cloak off...

LOOKS NICE, BUT IT SEEMS TO[1] need wider shoulders.
