The 9mp leader would have a great advantage over the 6mp ones. Think of how much faster they get from keep to keep, and into the battle and back. Its not fair on the normal speed ones. So it is definitely not better than the other solutions to the problem

It honestly doesn't matter much. Zones of control prevents them from getting too far anyways. I suppose I really don't care. Whatever happens happens.

This point is now closed : Lieutenant will be the leader for all, since it appears to be the best solution.
Mint wrote:About the era though, it would be best in an era where the units cost the same amount as default, or it kind of defeats the point of best 2 right?
Do you mean that PYR Armageddon has non-standard costs ?
Do you know which ones ?

I can try to modify it, but, if anyone feels more comfortable, don't hesitate to help :geek:

Seeing the slight rabble going on... Here is my opinion, on a for what its worth basis..

I thoughtthat we were using the basic 'pick your recruits era' because it uses standars costs. We would be allowed to pick only two units (our pre-selected units) using a generic leader. I also assumed that we would play on the 'ladder maps' (or any balanced map, really..)

I dont know if im reading this right, but.. Are people thinking that they cant use a unit if it is taken? I didnt think that was the case, or even if im reading it wrong, but yeah... :hmm:

I will enter with Drake Burner and Spearman
could I use drake flare for chief as it is just leveled burner and has same movement points as lieutenant?

Another solution about the leader issue might be only allowing the passive Lieutenant for everyone.
He is not allowed to attack actively and besides that only allows the two unit army to fight better in combat.

No, the rule is "Lieutenant for all"... until we agree on another rule

Another solution would be a puppet Lieutenant with 0mp and no attack.
Again, if someone is ready to create the right era... otherwise, simpler will be better imho.
