IIUC that will be determined by the player.Hulavuta wrote:I think I can help with the character's personality and dialogue.
You might have to write multiple dialogues for different personalities.

Re: What features would you like to see in a huge Wesnoth RPG?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, once I figure out the technical issues (I'm almost done that, I just have to run a test on the inventory and dialogue, then I'm done, and can start making the real game). But before I make the game, I want to be sure the storyline is acceptable. I mean, I know it's okay, but is it worth spending as much effort as I intend to spend on it?

I'm gonna start coding the campaign today, although I don't think I'm gonna go with the wall idea above, it's just far too much work. For now I'll use only the dwarf walls and the cave walls, but perhaps I'll update the maps at some point in the future.

What. You don't think the NPCs would react differently to a jack*** character and Mr. LoveyLolipops?Hulavuta wrote:I meant the NPC's.

That should be addequate for now. The cave wall works for mountains and caves, and the dwarf wall works fine for any large stone building.artisticdude wrote:I'm gonna start coding the campaign today, although I don't think I'm gonna go with the wall idea above, it's just far too much work. Well then I will do a bunch of different stuff for NPC dialogue.

Unfortunately my skills, such as they are, are mostly limited to writing and it seems like you`ve got that covered, but if there`s anything I can do to help with this campaign, just ask.

Okay, an update!
I've been working on the AMLA system for your characters, which will allow you to upgrade them as you want to. Here are the stats I've come up with so far:
These are all the stats I will be using for now, maybe I'll add more when I finish the game. But I'd rather have it too simple and add on to it later than have it be too complex and having to quit halfway through because of frustration. Some ideas or critique for the current stats and some suggestions for the new stats as well as the spells in each of the three magic classes would be appreciated.

Would you consider using Bob's RPG Era for your scenario? It already has many of the rpg features you are after.
My current projects:
MP pirate campaign: The Altaz Mariners
RPG sequel: Return to Trent
MP stealth campaign: Den of Thieves

Actually, I've been using that very system (with a few of my own modifications).Bob_The_Mighty wrote:Would you consider using Bob's RPG Era for your scenario? It already has many of the rpg features you are after.

Another update: I plan on finishing the 'demo' version within the next month or two, so I can get some feedback and give you guys a taste of what I'm planning. So far I've completed three levels, and I have five or six under various stages of construction.

Kind of like Oblivion, Morrowind, or Castle of the Winds Remake? Those were based on RPG style.
Another thing is if you are planning to add so many levels, why not take the mainline campaigns and tie them together? Like Delfadors Memoirs leads to Heir to the Throne, and so on? and if you are going to do something like this, you might want to divide it into parts; a game like that would take alot of space in one file.

What? No, I am not 26. Who said that? I'm only 14. Surprised?
