Slovene/Latin translation

Post by skovbaer »

hook wrote:i can make a Slovene translation ...maybe even Latin if i'll feel like it (not many games are translated into latin ...would be a nice touch IMO :D)
Thanks! :) I've added you to my list and soon I'll post an updated translator list... We currently don't have any Slovene translation so you'll be in charge of that one... The idea of a Latin translation sounds great :!: and if you think you have the time to do it, then of course you're welcome to do so...
Thanks in advance...

Post by skovbaer »

I just looked through the forum and found out that we have a couple of translators which I hadn't added to my list... Besides that we've got a couple of new translators... Anyway, here's the updated list:

Czech: Sofronius
Danish: Skovbaer
French: Guillaume, DaringTremayne, Zas (?)
German: Arndt, ja-el
Hungarian: Khiraly
Italian: Federico
Polish: methinks, B0rsuk (?)
Portuguese/Brazilian: micloos
Russian: genux
Slovenian: hook
Spanish: fmunoz, ettin (?)

If some of this doesn't seem correct please notify me...

It would be very nice !
If you make it, I would surely sometimes play in Latin, just in (probably vain) attempt to refresh my Latin knowledge from high school.

New WesnothTranslations in Wiki

Post by skovbaer »

I will not post new translator lists here anymore... I'm now keeping you up-to-date with a new translator list on the Wiki-web... Take a look at the page here:

http://www.ventu.info/wesnoth/?WesnothTranslations

On WesnothTranslations you will also be able to check out the current development state of each translation... The page also holds some information about how to contribute to Wesnoth's internationalization...

Full German and Hungarian translations

Post by skovbaer »

Hi, just wanted to notify that we've got full German and Hungarian translations in CVS now... Thanks to Khiraly (Hungarian), Arndt, ja-el, ammoq and Jonas (Arndt's son ;) ...

Great work!

Arndt, you did a great job on the German translation! I proofread it and you can find a corrected version (few typos, "neue deutsche Rechtschreibung", Kommas) at http://members.chello.at/erich.kitzmuel ... german.cfg ; I also took the freedom to change the wording in a few occasions (e.g. to avoid repeated words). Just run diff and decide for yourself if you like my version better or not. Thanks for the good work, it will be twice as funny in German!

Danke für die Blumen :)
(Thanks to ammoq in german)

I had a quick look at the corrections you made, and it looks fine to me. Could you update it in the CVS archives, skovbaer ? I'm currently very short on time.

BTW, does anybody know, what's the state of the translation of the MANUAL ?

Sure, I'll check it into CVS...

Why don't you just take a look yourself? ;)

If you meant something like if others are working on the manual atm, then I can only say that nobody's informed me about it ;)

I'll translate the manual... done.
Please download it at http://members.chello.at/erich.kitzmuel ... UAL.german . German readers, please proofread it, it's late at night and I might have confused something...

Swedish translation

Post by skovbaer »

Nice! :) Go ahead...

I'll add a Swedish translation page on the wiki-web at http://wesnoth.slack.it/?WesnothTranslations
On that page everyone will be able to see the current status of the Swedish translation...

And remember, just email me with the Swedish translation and I'll take it from there ;)
Oh, and don't worry about updating the wiki-page-status, I'll do that... Of course you're allowed to edit it if you want to ;)

@ wint3r

I have not filled in your email address on the main translations wiki page, because the one in your profile didn't look like your personal email address... Correct me if I'm wrong ;)

I have done a partly translation for the dutch language, mostly the game internals (buttons, etc.), some dialogs. I'll send it, but I'll have to work on it as well.
