Honor Duel---Me and Elvish Pillager
I was about to lose, so I challenged Elvish Pillager to a duel between our leaders. He accepted!

Don't go to Glowing Fish for advice, he will say both yes and no.
Yihaa!
My first win vs an equally good or better player in a 1v1 game.
I'm especially proud of my patience (normally I just charge off and lose)!
Although I won because rovanu took a too high risk, I do think that I would win anyway. And even if I'd lost I'm proud of how my game has improved.

Well done, tsr.

Thanks Tony, and damn, we must all be careful now, seems like there is a plague style eye soreness roaming these forumsTony Almeida wrote:By the way, my eyes have been improving slightly in these last few weeks, so I've been playing quite a bit more frequently. I'll post up some replays in the near future.

/tsr - a crappy (but friendly) way of saying, welcome backer, I'm glad your eyes are getting better.
That replay only has the last two attacks or so. (which of course makes it not work at all)tsr wrote: My first win vs an equally good or better player in a 1v1 game.
Concatenate it with the other save(s) or at least post them all.
I actually thought that bug was already fixed in 1.1.12...

Damn, well I forgot to save the real replay, so I figured that I should be able to reopen an autosave and just reproduce the last actions taken and save the replay.Soliton wrote:That replay only has the last two attacks or so. How would I go about concatenating them?

For fd
Well, fd claims this game never happened, so here's the proof. Perhaps it was his alter ego. For the record, this was the second of 2 games we played on this map; in the first I was undead and he crushed me quickly.
He claims drakes cannot win on this map.

Is that even a replay? It just gives me an error.TequeñoCrudo wrote:Well, fd claims this game never happened, so here's the proof. Perhaps it was his alter ego. For the record, this was the second of 2 games we played on this map; in the first I was undead and he crushed me quickly.

And who is this "fd?"
Also, I don't really think I have to point this out, but one match between two new players doesn't prove much of anything (a map being fair or unfair for Drakes, for example).

Wose vs Loyals on Den of Onis
This game, rebs vs loyals @ den, was pretty dynamic. The game slowly developed, until a spearman on the western flank triped a wose trying to get to some villages. Another hidden wose laid a possibly devastating trap, which the loyalist managed to avoid by being especially patient. The woses are then used as a pin to cover a nautical invasion across the NW channel, into the loyalist's cavern. Horsemen, a red mage, scream barrel after the rebel army as it tries to cut down an entrenched archer. With the bulk of the rebel army in the caves, the loyalists make a push south through the center. The second, yet undiscovered wose, makes its appearance to thwart the attempt. I really enjoyed playing this one.
Moral of the story: whenever you have your wose in the forest, add a ~*<255.0.0> prefix to its name.
Corrolary: Make sure all your woses have the same name.

Dwarves (me) vs Drakes (Dark_Beer-Adept) on 1vs1 Blitz map
A very long fight (lasted 50 turns) where both sides sat on their defensive position until at last the dwarves manage to penetrate the drakes defensive line... an unusual ending on this map...

Yay! (again, but this time I actually saved the replay)
This was a fun and quickly played game where my rebel forces kept ahead of raists undead forces through all the game.
We both did a bunch of mistakes and I was pretty sure I was going down around turn 20.
Luckily I sacrificed a goat to the RNG and all went well
/tsr
ps. I have a moral dilemma, can you guys help me out? I wonder if the RNG will be mad at me if I eat the goat for dinner, but I don't really know what to do with it, currently it just lays there on the floor dripping blood.

Well, i'm not very proud of my performance in this game... i somehow did lots of wrong moves!
Anyway tsr really deserved his victory not to mention he was very nice.
The match was decided when "the forest began to chase us" (copyright Motrax)
ps : Concerning the goat, there is only one way to know... Will you play with me just after that?
