the problem in Drake Escape is an engine bug, specifically #10570. I do hope that a developer fixes both of those bugs soon.

But Malakar does have to dock for him to show up at all, although I will change that.

How about I tune down the thunder spirits a little?

New version. I was able to work around the bug in Drake Escape, but not the recall lists. I also have made Kogw level two, and gave him a level 3.

revision 30 released on campaign server.

Improvements:

takes advantage of new mermen
scenario balancing:
Blockade - objectives changed
Endgame - when you kill a certain leader the enemy gets gold and reinforcements
Caravan - a wolfpack added to stop glider rushes
Drake Escape - a surprise before you enter a cave
River of Skulls - rock golems with a weak attack but very strong defense which get in the way
NPC units added: rabbits, cows, horses, crows, falcons, wolves, chickens
music bug fixed
miscellaneous minor bug fixes

MadMax,

First of all, thanks for a great campaign. I suppose for those of us not updating from CVS, we'll have to wait for the next release to enjoy the new merman. Will we get a kitchen for the drake burner to cook the new farm animals? :)

Just a minor itch. Could you please consider renaming the campaign versions to the more widely used x.x.x system?

Thanks!

It works with 0.8.7. With the x.x.x system, I would like to, but I don't know what the equivalent would be. If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it.

With the farm animals, they cannot do anything (other than the wolves), but they just stay in one place and break the monotony of grass. You can kill them if you want to, but you won't gain anything by doing so.

Yeah this is a very nice campaing wich, in my opinion, should be incluided...

So all fractions would have a "place"inside wesnoth...

PD: I just cant believe that so many people play in mp with the drakes and dont know that there is a Drake campaign...people dont play much the campaigns...Strange :?

sorry, but this argument holds no water. campaigns do not represent factions. you could argue HttT is elf, but then how do you explain dwarves and outlaws? is it combo rebel-knalgan campaign? same with TRoW.

i don't think a campaign should be implemented because "we want a drake campaign", it should be because of quality. (i'm not going to say if this campaign is quality or not, because i'm biased against it because it is drakes).
For I am Turin Turambar - Master of Doom, by doom mastered. On permanent Wesbreak. Will not respond to private messages. Sorry!

Drakes right now are found in only one mainline scenario (TROW, Peoples in Decline). If they are bound to stay in multiplayer forever than they have no purpose in Wesnoth and are nothing but unit bloat, and they are IMO too good for that. In fact, it may even be said that this campaign is the only justification for drakes. And besides, I believe this campaign fits in with Wesnothian history. For example, Morogor is mentioned in Peoples in Decline, meaning it is an official place.

Mkgego, if you want this campaign included, you will probably have to start a petition. Right now likely candidates would be Mkgego, IntercypherX, and eugenelim. You would need around 10 or 20 people to get the devs' attention and for them to consider inclusion.

e.g. Change rev 37 to 0.3.7 and start from there? It's really up to you how you want to call the first version and subsequent ones. When you feel the campaign is mission / feature complete, that would be a good time to bump the version to 1.0.

Counting MadMax and yourself, that's 5 people already. 5 to 15 more to go. Places to solicit petitions include IRC, the BfW post in happypenguins, hmmm ... start a poll?

Campaigns will not be chosen based on which units the player controls in them.
