Well, It would be logical if you would become a zombie yelling "Wesnothhhh..."HomerJ wrote:Nice try but this uncovers your lie!Drakefriend wrote: i only have this account!

Cybermouse wrote:203. You don't eat, sleep, or breathe anymore. You just play Wesnoth. Eventually you die and become a lich, although you don't really notice. But being a lich is only a cool bonus. The main thing is that you can now play Wesnoth nonstop for eternity.

But, a lich would be fine..
241. You are scared playing against White Mages because you are sitting in front of you computer like a zombie.

242. You mourn the death of a campaign because the author gave up on it.
243. You remember when Delfador's memoirs were unfinished.
244. You go on an expedition to try and find the island that the drakes first came from.
245. You never have a drinking contest with a short person because you know any dwarf can drink you under the table.
246. You always carry a flamethrower with you when you go camping just in case the wosses don't want you there.

Just as thespaceinvader said.Hulavuta wrote:I'm not entirely sure, but more members means more memory taken up right? (I don't know the right words for these things, I haven't hosted my own site or anything before)
It roughly equates to one extra row in the users table from the forums database. Compare that to the high size of attachments posted every day everywhere.

I created ShikadiLord around the same time I became a developer, mainly to allow myself to make posts without bearing the "Developer" title so to avoid misrepresenting the interests of the Battle for Wesnoth Project. Of course, that was a stupid idea — I was a lot younger back then, however it also allowed me to claim ownership of my own wiki username, which I created long before becoming a developer since "shadow master" was taken there. Now I have more recently replaced the wiki ShikadiLord with "Shadowmaster" since I'd also dropped the whitespace (and later, underscore) in my username around February 2009.Hulavuta wrote:shadowmaster probably is allowed to because he's a developer. I think he uses one (or some) to test board stuff?
In any case ShikadiLord is not an alter ego of mine — it's me and that's a very well known fact, especially for those familiarized with the Wesnoth-UMC-Dev project at SF.net, since I had to claim that username there for the same reasons as above — Shadowmaster and Shadow_Master were taken.
I have had a lot of extra alternative accounts which I have used for testing and deleted afterwards, although I decided not to delete one of them rather recently. Still, no posts in the forums, so no Posting Guidelines violations are involved.
I don't have a problem with people who have alts in order to claim ownership of MP nicknames, but it's certainly wrong to indulge in sockpuppetry — that is, actually pretending both accounts are different people and using both of them to post in the forums. There are a few people who have done this several times, but really, it's very easy to notice that even if you don't look at their IPs. They generally can't help it but leak their thought and speech patterns all around, so it becomes fairly obvious if they post with a different account.
And don't confuse sockpuppetry with joke-accounts.

Actually, on IRC today, I learned some interesting features in 1.9 that may inspire me to continue the campaign. Though school is starting and I have AP and Marching Band, so I don't have a lot of time. Plus, I didn't "give up", I'm taking a hiatus.Captain_Wrathbow wrote:Fossil.wesfreak wrote:242. shadowmaster: That's what I meant/hate. (You remember all those IRC things, huh?)

247. On the first day of school, one of your teachers is giving a lecture about "being a leader to your peers" and "exhibiting leadership qualites". He asked "When I say 'leadership', what is the first thing you think of?", and I was tempted to answer "Elvish Captains!".

Re: You've been playing Wesnoth too long when...
(250 isn't the quarter. You don't know what number this'll end on. We could always end on less than 1000, or more.)
