Have there been any changes since the last version I got (which was April 9th)? If so, could you post a zip of all the files? If not, I'll go ahead and add Madru's new graphics...

There were some smaller changes.
Well I´ll put them together but first I must slightly change the animations.

question here: i've dl'ed the scenario, as it sound llike great fun, but Melnader is not visible at game start. :(

am i missing a new graphics file (i haven't read the whole thread). and if so, where can i get it?

The standard answer is "restart Wesnoth". Custom unit images appear to be loaded when the game starts. YMMV.

I have the version 0.8.11, (of Wesnoth) and The Explorer can't move! In the stats of the unit, there's not even movement for in water... How can I fix this bug?

@Marcus: Its a problem with 0.8.11. Upgrade to 0.9.1, and it will work.

Yep, no Madru, no Black the Red. No undead hordes.

I had 382 gold, defeated every island, and fielded a large mixed force of 2nd and 3rd level followers -- humans, elves, merfolk. but alas, I was overrun again and again by the hordes of defenders.

Not just a little beaten or accidentally killed -- we were -slaughtered-. I never lived past turn 8 in any of my attempts.

Take over the city? Hrm. Survival would have been nice.

It's certainly a tragic end to a promising story.

"Boss, we came all that way to die like dogs?" -- "Apparently so. Madru and Black the Red abandoned us..."

I recommend there to be a buried treasure on one of the islands. :)

I also note you have listed ballistae for the ships, as if they might have, at one point been useful for ship-to-ship combat. Seems like now it just goes straight to a boarding action. Is this somethiing for future implimentation?

Curious.

Aye. Unfortunately, the final scenario is not balanced yet. I am working on it, but first I have to fix a bug with the previous scenario (which is what causes Black the Red and Madru to disappear).

The ballistas are for future implementation, as you suspected. I have a rather neat plan for them, but I'm not sure I know how to do it.

The bug was suprisingly easy to fix. I'm working on balancing the scenario, and you were right - it's a slaughter. Even with Black and Madru, it is impossible. Time to go balance...

Here's an idea: after Fire Island, have the Saurians explain their animosity towards humans, and also throw in their lot with the pirates. Put in a scenario where you can recruit them and go beat up on their enemies -- a Saurian slaver ring on a nearby archipeligo!

Thereafter, and in the final battle, you can have flaming death rained down on your enemies!

Just looked at the utils.cfg, and those macros are not mine; they were originally EP's. You do not even need the RANDOM_NAME macros anyway, as you can place generate_description=yes between the [unit] tags. Also, you need to update those macros to account for the dextrous trait and the removal of the loyal trait (look in the latest version of FtF).
