The thumb looks a little off to me. I can't put my finger (pun unintended
) precisely on the issue though, so I'm happy to be overruled if the artists disagree...

Hands are tough. It looks like this is what you're trying to do...quick paintover...
Right now the thumb muscle is a little warped and its unclear where the inner surface of the arm is, it kinda makes it look like the part of the palm where the thumb comes from is sprouting out of that little bone nub on the outer side of the arm.
This portrait seems to be coming along otherwise. Keep it up, I want to see it finished :).

Check out my portraits HERE!
Hand still looks inconsistant with the face. The face has clear hard lines and the hand is a little indistinct and 'smudgy.' I don't know which effect you are after but having both seems a little weird.
Also, a question I asked in another thread but which wasn't answered:
Why are people busily drawing Elvish Shaman portraits when that is the only elf we already have a portrait for? Just curious.

I'd guess as a security blanket. They see the elf shaman and they think 'I can make something and it will be better'Why are people busily drawing Elvish Shaman portraits when that is the only elf we already have a portrait for? Just curious.
The first animation I did was the bat because I said to myself 'the blood bat death animation is ridiculous, I can hardly do worse'.
Just a guess.

because I begin sketching with no clear thought in mind, and then say, hey this looks kile an elvish shaman--lets make it more-so.
*anyways, the hand irks me, and as Zuhkov said, it doesn't look as clean as the rest, meaning I'll just be beginning that part again from scratch (huge drawing scaled down)
If that fails, time to just redraw it...EDIT-tried cleaning it up
Any comments on the other picture in human thread?

great job!... looks like you fixed the hand issue. That is one good looking shaman.

I would like to use this for the portrait for my campaign Story of the Wose
Main character is human, female. I should be able to remove the elf ears easily enough.

Nice! A few criticisms though:
- the position of the hair isn't natural; it isn't resting on anything.
- the mouth seems to be a little (2-3 pixels) too high on the face
- the (armor? shirt?) doesn't curve over her shoulders, it looks like it comes to a point.

It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.
