Minotaur Faction : The Era Of Strife

cool do can i get a name in? ^^ following up with Lim_Arcadia ideas i thought of two ideas myself. (if you need ideas or not dunno)
Engrage: when next to multiple enemy units the Mino unit gets an attack bonus (like a little extra damage or something of the sorts)
Last Stand: when surrounded by multiple units (two or three dunno) damage resistance is increased
names are a bit cliche but couldnt think of anything else.
thought they might fit the idea that minotaurs are agressive and hard to kill.

Depends on the comparisons. the gore, behemoth, gnoll (doing as we speak) and shaman, are all the size of humans. the other lvl 2's and 3's range from 3-14 Px larger than a human. The minotaur king and Ancient behemoth are the only over sized sprites. the calvary are slightly larger than human calvary. In the end its all down to realism. In some myth, the minotaur is said to be almost twice as tall as a humanickylevel wrote:I really think that sprites are too big.

Thats more for the art thread.
The only ones that I would consider to be too big are the king and the ancient behemoth, and they both fit fine in the hex.

Yeah, well I saw them last night, don't you remember me complimenting you on them last night?
Anyway, what kind of placeholders are you going to use for the Shaman lines?

Lol i was up till 3 this morning when i did that lol, plus i had had a little too much to drink (exams are over, so i was celebrating with friends). Hence why i actually played a game well =]. I cant remember much apart from doing the sprites and using a WC for my SX character.Darth Jordius wrote:Yeah, well I saw them last night, don't you remember me complimenting you on them last night?Anyway, what kind of placeholders are you going to use for the Shaman lines?

Ah, so that's why you picked a WC.

Hmm, if your main influence is WBC, where are the basilisks?Quietus wrote:Hmm is there anychance you could show me a screen shot, as i havnt actualled played much of HOMM. My main influence us actually from Warlords Battle Cry.

Yes I use windows, too.
Yes I too am aware of what that means.
Yes I'm still gonna use windows too.

Well, for ranged attacks you could use their breath, a poisoning fire attack.

It is an inluence not a copyJodwin wrote:Hmm, if your main influence is WBC, where are the basilisks?Quietus wrote:Hmm is there anychance you could show me a screen shot, as i havnt actualled played much of HOMM. The behemoth takes over the role that the basilisk had (though he doesnt turn them to stone). The gnoll is a shooter in this one. I dont really see the Minotaurs having any stealthy units. And there is no axe throwing unit, though i was very tempted when designing the faction.

Well, you can't have the Minotaur King and the Overlord both without ranged weapons, unless you're going to give them a large pierce, blade, and cold defense. I don't see how they could survive against Elves.
