Done.
Thank god. I was about to do that one myself, "damn the torpedos".
I'm glad you did it, though - I'm always afraid that people will somehow take offense to a change I make, even if it seems perfectly sensible (or even desperately needed).

Implement the Stalker.
Create an alternate advancement for the Orcish Grunt which can reach level 3.
Ideas:
Slurbow, as stated before, is a weak, mixed-melee troop, and not a true archer.

Orcish grunt has xp-to-level reduced slightly. Branch after level one is a unit that does less damage/has less strikes, but which carries a big shield and has better resistances.

Current agenda:
Implement the Slurbow.
Increase Orcish Archer's cost to 13 and give it 5-2 flaming arrows.
Implement the Stalker.
Create graphics for level 2 & 3 advancements of Orcish Grunt.
Create or adopt stats for them, & implement them.

Oh from playing a game I just though back to this topic if u give archer fire damage do they still have the pierce attack move??if not that was the best unit in northerner vs drake if u removed the peirce damage...

Anyways what about giving Orc leadership? It will help northerner alot I mean from orc piont of view the stronger ur the more of a leader u are to Orcs right so maybe give lv3 Orc grunt->Orc Warlord leadership?

With regards to Orcish leadership…maybe the Warlord should be given something akin to leadership. Something like Enrage, like leadership, but it only helps if the adjacent unit is attacking. Also, what if, unlike leadership, it gave a flat 25% to all units around it, regardless of level? (Yes, Enrage may not be the best name, but neither is Arouse. ) It'd make the two lines even more distinct, and I think it would fit in with the Orcish faction.

ALL units? Or just friendly units?

This gives me an interesting idea... some sort of unit that gives a bonus to all adjacent units, friend or foe.

An interesting concept, although I doubt it would be useful, lol...

Friendly ones, of course. All was just to stress regardless of level, 25% is the bonus. Maybe just offensive leadership would be more appropriate.

Just to add in my two cents.

I really like the idea of that "aggression" trait for the orc grunts.

Maybe the aggression trait means they get an extra attack ONLY when they attack (not defend). Reduce the standard damage by maybe 1 to 2 points. This gives an incentive for the orc player to play an offensive wave assault game. I think that adds some depth to the game in terms of matching styles.

Otherwise, I do feel like the Orcs are little underpowered unit-wise. Giving leadership would be another solution, but it seems more generic.

I also totally agree about giving a fire attack to one of the units (e.g. fire arrows to the archer). Just a totally random idea, but has anyone thought of shifting the Ogre to the Orc army and giving him maybe an impact, fire or rock-lobber-type role?
