I couldn't quite remember where it came from originally, or who the artist was-thanksTSoG

High over valleys in the red levelling rays -
In din of crowded streets, going among the years, the faces,
May I still meet my memory in so lonely a place
Between the streams and the red clouds, hearing the curlews, Hearing the horizons endure.

Re: Graphic Hunting
It's a little annoying that some people seem to go against the mainline vision of nagas by making the females visually differentiable... still, I could probably use some of the units from Return of the Monsters.
I knew about Roar of the Woses (it's mentioned in my first post).

Re: Graphic Hunting
Below are some sprites I've done. Not mainline quality and no animations, but perhaps they might help you? The two fairy looking ones are my "Leaf Glider" and "Leaf Flier" from the Era of Horrors.
The bottom most two I didn't do, by the way, I don't know what artist I got them from either. And you might want to check out the Yokai for other plant based units to go with woses.

- The red one was a "Salamander", or fire breathing Naga or something.

Re: Graphic Hunting
Ah, sorry, forgot you were looking for units with animations. So, no, none of the guys I posted are animated AFAIK. Though, Kanzil and Dwarven_Void seem to think that the Great Ogre is.Amorphous, do any of those already have animations? (I already found the Great Ogre and thus know that it doesn't.)
I am planning on animating the saurian flare myself, though, so I can post that here when I'm done, if you're interested.

Re: Graphic Hunting
I do want units with animations if possible, but that doesn't mean I'll completely ignore ones without.Amorphous wrote:Ah, sorry, forgot you were looking for units with animations.

Hmm... yeah, that could be useful.Amorphous wrote:I am planning on animating the saurian flare myself, though, so I can post that here when I'm done, if you're interested.
Deciton_Reven: Not sure about those sprites. I suppose some of that faction may qualify as Wose allies, but I think the bottom one isn't the right feeling for it. (Also, if units.wesnoth.org is to be believed, the faction doesn't even have proper sprites? Maybe it's wrong though.) I guess I'll look for the Yokai somewhere...
Re: Graphic Hunting
I think most of the UMC naga images date to mid-1.5 or earlier, when mainline nagas were, as you put it, visually differentiable.Celtic_Minstrel wrote:It's a little annoying that some people seem to go against the mainline vision of nagas by making the females visually differentiable...

Nope, just the placeholders. That's why I only provided the glider.
And, in case you didn't find it by now, The Yokai.

Re: Graphic Hunting
Hm. I think I'd rather not use the Yokai faction since it was originally designed to work with Era of Myths and then tweaked to go better with whatever EE is. However, I could probably make use of the graphics for one or both of the plant-like units in the faction.Deciton_Reven wrote:And, in case you didn't find it by now, The Yokai.

Re: Graphic Hunting
I could try animating some Celtic Minstrel, if they lack animations. I just did that for the elvish noble.Celtic_Minstrel wrote:I do want units with animations if possible, but that doesn't mean I'll completely ignore ones without.Amorphous wrote:Ah, sorry, forgot you were looking for units with animations.

Re: Graphic Hunting
Did I catch that right that you're looking for some good wose-allied units? If so, I think I might be able to help.

These are the baseframes for some giant plant monsters that the folks from the Italian forum cooked up. They have animations as well for attack, defense, and death.

Re: Graphic Hunting
There is a lot of sprites in RPG Creation Kit resource pack add-on on the 1.8 server (these plants are among them).
Re: Graphic Hunting

Re: Graphic Hunting
Mind linking to these animations? Those graphics look kinda intriguing, so I may like to use them.Mountain_King wrote:These are the baseframes for some giant plant monsters that the folks from the Italian forum cooked up. They have animations as well for attack, defense, and death.
