Re: Retro Era
If you guys want I can hand out what I have so far.
It's only seven unit trees coded. (two of the trees have problems with a certain trait).
Also, a little art work:

The RETRO Era is not dead yet!

Re: Retro Era
Nice!
Maybe include some more overtly religious units that are fantasy classics like crusader or cleric. Although Wesnoth has white mages and paladins, it actually doesn't have anything explicitly religious.

Re: Retro Era
if you could list the guys you have already, then maybe we would have a better idea of what to suggest.
for the mercenaries, maybe drake mercenary, mercenary, hunter, elf mercenary and dwarf mercenary, with each race having a different role? the drakes could be a bit like clashers with good melee (think wose) but bad def, using a greatsword and a longspear, both 2 really strong hits.
The human mercenary would be kind of like the rogue mage, with a sword and some cold magic, and maybe some healing at higher levels.
The dwarf mercenary would use an axe, but no hammer, and one of his lvl ups could have beserk.
The hunter would be a horseman with a net and a sword and the elf would be like the lvl 1 version of an elvish avenger, but also with some faerie fire. (yes it would have ambush)
that's 5 main units, like you asked. maybe we could throw in an orc mercenary, with poison daggers there too if you'd like. what do you think?
