Unless you want to have a cheap, good and very comfortable Linux laptop. I’m currently running Debian on an IBM ThinkPad, and it’s really great, but if I wanted to buy myself a new one I’d at least consider getting an iBook.

OK, this is a fair point. Apple makes nice laptops. Unfortunately, they only have one button on the trackpad, which is not a problem for me, as I use a mouse, but can put some people off.

easy solution, hold down the CTRL key and click on the trackpad, this will give you the same result as having a second mouse button.

Okay, so you all finally got me to register and reply on this posting, I got a mac and had to support the poll .

When I need group therapy, I switch on all 7 of my Macs.
