It's just the sheer lack of man power.Dave wrote:We rely on our users to localize the game. The site is mostly dedicated to explanatory and introductory stuff.
Wesnoth is described as difficult for begginers but user-friendly,referring to auto save function, tutorials and what not.
fun of course

The evaluations are based on addictiveness, graphics, and sounds.
Graphics matching world view, vivid animations and effective use of BGMs and SEs are gaining points among other things.
one revierwer says there's short supply of joke stuff to incorporate in one's scenario.
one says you can customize.
They didn't forget to mention the biggest advantage of this game
: open-source, GPL-licensed software.
that's all the more why we feel sorry about the localizatin ,
but on a positive note, the site's asking for volunteers
and actually we have some volunteers working on UMCs from time to time.
And last but not least, thanks for the hearty welcome everyone.

Re: Welcome Japan. :-)
If more Japanese players were interested in performing the localization, then we'd have a better Japanese localization. I mean it was our French players who did the French Localization, and the German players who did the German Localization, so on and so forth.Cololi wrote:It's just the sheer lack of man power...Dave wrote: We rely on our users to localize the game. Like David said, they are more than free to join up and participate in their own nation's localization, but it goes beyond that. The Japanese translation that does this game justice will require work on their end.

Do we have a world map with pins and blocks showing how much wesnoth has expanded over the world?.Dave wrote:Japan beat out France for third place, and only the US and Germany were ahead in number of visitors.
