I wasn't directly insulted btw. My post was taken by Noy to be a insult to soliton because I described the reactionary "Just No!" (well pretty much) I got from Soliton to that of a vampires reaction to sunlight. It was a descriptive anology of a action. I personally do get offended when people twist my words into insults, but maybe thats just me :P Also the whole "this is obvious, so if your too stupid to get it I won't explain it to you" thing doesn't sit well either.

Theres a reason Wesnoth is not realistic has been turned into a acronym. Discussions of realism as reason to accept or not accept something becomes too subjective and personal opinion only.

Allieing provides strange combinations and results in situations like enclave described where white mages heal skeletons and so forth. Not only is wesnoth not realistic, some possible allie combinations are REALLY unrealistic.

So it was strange that Soliton used realism as his main and mostly only arguement against allie leadership.

To game play. As long as it doesn't stack, allied leadership is a difficult and challanging thing to accomplish. If two allied players have the skill to pull it off, why should the game mechanics deny them?

Why do i bother  Im guessintg you're putting alot of emphasis on the somemtimes, because i could send a shaman out into the open hit two attacks with her staff and kill a weakend heavyInfantry. Its called being an amature player with a lot of luck, beacuse you would be using the unit completely wrong.

EDIT: im a very poor player but i know when and when not to use certain units

if i write the book, would you admit the leadership to allies?

havent you read like human mages could control hordes of skeletons? and lead them?
You are totally beside my point which was to point out the difference between different races in a single band and different races allied.
.I am leaving this discussion since it's turning sour. With some rather unpleasant remarks .
You like gold? you don't care about Kings or wizards? You hate elves? then be a Griffoon Lad

I love to see forum dwellers who are mature enough to recognise when a disagreement's done it's dash. Good stuff. :)

Anyway, since this thread has well and truly done it's dash: Locked.

Enclave,

Despite the facetiousness, Ken Oh hit the nail on the head - if you object to a locking, send a PM (private message) to the Mod. If you think the Mod in question is being unreasonable, then take it up with a different Mod. Do not just recreate the thread - it'll just get locked again.

BTW, the first half of your initial post in this thread was quite reasonable. I probably would've reopened the first thread for you to post it.

The second half of your initial post was pure flamebait, and responsible for noone seriously discussing the second half.

You do the math.
