 Great a new Wesnoth version :D .

But I must waite that the people from debian has compile (right word?) it for testing.

But I have a SVN :D . But it's much slower as the normal game without SVN.

You mean the package is ready.

You need to wait for the package to propagate to testing, it's compiled already of course. (as mentioned in the first post..)

Compile with optimisations, at least -O2. Nevertheless 1.1.3 is probably slower than 1.1.2.

I only wish this version does not replace 1.0x. Hardware requirements are too high.

What is this?
When I started the game it says the program couldn´t start because the file named zlib1.dll could not be found.
Anyone having problem with this?

this is a temporary solution if you still got 1.1.2a

add all dll files from 1.12a except the sdl ones in the 1.1.3 folder, and rename sdl_image.dll into .bak and use 1.1.2a's sdl_image.dll too in wesnoth 1.1.3 folder. the game should start up properly now with the old dlls.

This is two different things: The server has been restarted and is accepting 1.1.3 now.

For the DLL-problem: It looks like there are no problems on Windows XP (which i am using) but on older versions. The reason is an incompatibility between sdl_image.dll and zlib1.dll (the latter is not needed on Windows XP so i omitted it).

In this case use sdl_image.dll and zlib1.dll from the wesnoth 1.1.2a installation and copy them into 1.1.3. I will see if i find a better solution for this.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Edit: hehe, FrickenMoron was first :) .

I am using Win XP and I have the zlib1.dll problem
Still, following the FM's advice did the trick
Thanks, Fricken Moron

Theoretically, love is great
but it is a little bit different in practice.

Apparently I was correct in my assumption that the server had not been fully converted yet. It is now, however, so that shouldn't be the problem.

Okay, I quit a horribly OOS game where my opponent zookeeper didn't see the attack I made on his Skirmisher only be be disconnected from the server and now I can't connect to the client again. Also, the statue map is horribly bugged.
