Suvorov, that sounds like an idea proposed in the past, but it does sound like an ability that has potential.
You'll have to pardon my laziness if I haven't added any new abilities lately - there's been a lot of "philosophical" discussion about new ability proposals and how to go about implementing them.
To be honest, I'm not sure if this thread serves much of a purpose anymore other than to be a collection of ideas for UMC creators to brainstorm from.
Perhaps I or someone could post links to WML examples of how to do some of these abilities with the current system?
(that's a sneaky way of asking for links so I can edit them into the top post)

That reminds me that I should list what from this thread has been done in the era, in order to help out anyone who sees this thread and then wants to use something. So, here is the list and what it's called in the era.
Lullaby: I did this under the Knockout weapon special but it's dependant on if a certain type of weapon hits.
Mist: This is listed as Storm. It ends the battle after both sides get one attack, but only on offense.
Mind flay: This is called Raid and it takes 2xp for every successful offensive attack.
Combo: This is called Ensnare.
Dread: This is listed as Dread.
Thorns: This is Spiked Armor. Attackers lose 3hp of damage against a unit defending with Spiked Armor.
Bloodlust: Bloodlust, where if a target is killed the unit is allowed another attack, is in the era but in the way the wiki ability example has it. However, the leadership effect Frenzy gives adjacent units +1hp for every strike landed, and it can even violate maximum.
Loner: Loner in the era simply means that the unit does 25% more damage in battle if there are no friendly units adjacent to it.
There are plenty more, so be sure to check them out for things you might want to do.

Sheild: If enemy unit attacks, defensive unit can block one or more of the attacks (random % to block depending on several factors)
i came up with this just now after playing a scenario where i wished my swordsmen could actually do something with their shields against archers instead of being pricked to death.

Actually I wondered if the defense animation of some units with shield could incorporate a "shield block" variant, with different sound effects. So instead of dodging and enemy miss, sometimes you see the animation of yourself blocking with a shield and hear a "clang", that would be kind of cool.

An alternative would be if your enemy attacks you he automaticaly gets one less attack. That would be an incredibly powerfull ability though.

I certainly won't be maintaining this thread in the future, and haven't been for a long time.
WML can basically do anything anymore, so someone surely has coded something somewhere.

Hmmm, if you want, I can see about unsticky-ing this/ creating a new one. By doing this, I'd be taking on keeping the FPI and BWH list updated as well.
