I'm tempted by a shield boss, actually (the lump in the middle, a la roman tower shields), but i'm not sure whether with would actually be high enough up on the shield to show above the crop, given that we can see only about 1/3 of the face of the shield, and the boss would be right in the middle. Some riveting around the trim might work out, though. The sprite doesn't even have the TC on the shield face, so...

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about the boss, though I didn't know that's what it was called. Another idea would be an emblem of some sort, but maybe that's getting too far from the actual sprite.

Better. The problem earlier was that not only did he not look particularly buff, he looked positively skinny - he seemed tall and thin, more so than average almost. Bringing his head down helped.

Looking back, i think you're right - while i'm not a fan of the arnie build, equally he was quite skinny before. I'm quite pleased with it now.
