No offence, but I think the original is better. The head on your guy is weird, which is the main worse aspect. The body structure is fine, but do something about that head.

Unlike with the Invader, my main purpose here was to make this guy look less like the Thug. Yeah, he needs more work, but I was kinda hoping for some brainstorming on costume design.

Go bare chested.

Or scrap the bald thing, and go for an executioner's mask.

I would change the belt / loincloth, in that case. The current one seems to have the same design as the Thug's.

How about facial & body tattoos like Queequeg? http://www.google.com/images?q=Queequeg

First pass at the Invoker and Magus. Funny that people should mention tattoos and bare chests.

Hm. More drastically redesigned than I would have done. I'll see I l change them tomorrow.

The original design was ugly, and we've got a cool thing going with the hints of aztec-sun-god; much more interesting, in my opinion, than a bunch of burlap-clad B-movie demon worshippers. Personally, I think they could all use a drastic redesign, but you and Espreon are in charge.

Hm.

I'm not really sure about the "aztec sun god" thing, since they aren't really worshiping a sun deity. :?

A-red: please, PLEASE pick some flesh colours from mainline units. These share the problem in your avatar, the shading on the flesh is grey. Otherwise, they look OK, but some parts (most of the legs in fact) are quite pillowed. That loincloth thing needs a lot of work.

That was intentional, for better or worse--with Caercyn it was to blend better with the rest of the palette, and I decided to keep and emphasize it for the sake of something different with these. That certainly doesn't make you wrong--I'll try it with the stock flesh colors, or with a somewhat tanner flesh tone.

Hopefully these are improved, and I've got the full line now. The L3 in particular has some of the flavor of Evilest's portraits, but I'm not sure it came out as I wanted, and I'm even less sure it's what anyone else wanted. We've got at least two different visions happening here, and it's hard to meld them. Are we too many cooks?

Particularly the Demonologist's headgear is much pillowed. And the bald head has too-sharp corners, it needs some small anti-aliasing.

Letting Zero give them a once-over would probably be an idea - as would be making the cloaks TC.

Thinking about it now, the sun-god thing starts to make more sense to me - we're talking about a setting where there are two suns baking the planet to hell, and a third one caused an enormous cataclysm relatively recently. It would make sense for people to view the sun as evil...

I had a crack at a new Nym. Still got work to do on the head to accomodate the elf ears. Thoughts ?
