I made a few useless units. Check them out and brainstorm! Perhaps we can get some beasts out of these.
Also if they would fit in other factions of EOM (tweaked or as they are) tell me.
Also included the beholder, just if you might get ideas out of it.

flesh golem -> putrid golem -> golem of decay
or:
flesh golem -> putrid golem -> plague golem
or:
flesh golem -> putrid golem -> plague golem

how is a flesh golem different from a walking corpse?

Something like:
Blood golem -> Flesh golem --> Bone golem
might be nice.
The difference being that, instead of being the walking corpse of something once living, it is a artificial human construct made from corpses

That's rather disgusting... but why would anyone make a golem out of corpses? What advantage does flesh have over stone or metal?

Perhaps it is easy to create a golem with any kind of intelligence by using the dead?
Or perhaps there are benefits in scaring the enemy with such creations?
Or making such creations out of such a readily available material makes them cheap?
*Ponders*
Perhaps having a golem made of flesh would allow you to magically imbue the flesh with regeneration ability

Beholda: No melee, flying, 5 moves, and a ranged attack with backstab except that instead of dealing double damage, it has drain, poison, and slow when in a backstabbing position.Eternal wrote:I made a few useless units. Check them out and brainstorm! Perhaps we can get some beasts out of these.

Another thing: the simple huge eyeball is missing any blood vessels, which looks rather odd.

It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.

The flesh golem looks like steak golem to me, but that's not a problem. (BTW, you could eat your flesh golems if you run out of supplies)
As for a scout aberration, how about giving the eyeball wings, or just leave it as is, it looks cool. I don't think a scout with no attacks has been done before. Something like:
Mind eye: lvl1
0-1 ranged, mental i guess
15 hp, 5 xp, 10 movement. 50% resistence to all damage types, nuetral.

several reasons:turin wrote:That's rather disgusting... but why would anyone make a golem out of corpses? What advantage does flesh have over stone or metal?
1. psycological effect: seeing a huge golem of rotting flesh
2. cheaper materials than a metal golem
3. no necromancers needed (as opposed to zombies)

this goes for they're/their/there as well

Whatever. I really don't like the idea - seems like pointless grossness to me. But go with it if you want.
