This fake-deity stuff just isn't new to you, if you read some fantasy-literature before and beside that one suprise she doesn't got much about her.
I meant here in wesnoth, not in literature, most of the conceps have already been used somewere else, but in the whole wesnoth, there are fewer cases of dark cult(tHoT)/false god(UtBS) than "the evil litch is going to kill us all(tRoW EI DM)" "the orcs are going to invade the elves(aOI, LOW[ok also humans there]" the incombustible "dwarf-elf war(SoF,LoW[no matter if they ally, is only because of a need".

Actually, the elves in SoF were recently retconned to belong to his faction, he doesn't actually appear in that campaign.

Goodbye to Mr. Yet Another Freaking Lich.

Seriously, we have too many damn liches on this list. I count a total of... 7 liches(M'brin, Ravanal, Karrag, Jevyan, Malifor, Iliah, Sagus), plus 1 necromancer(Darken Volk) who wanted to become a lich, plus 1 "villain"(Malin's angst) which caused the protagonist to become a lich.

There are also 5 Orcish chiefs on this list - Rualsha, Brurbar, Shan Taum, Rakshas, Zorlan.

Yes it really is annoying when you think about it.

Seriously though, why is there a lack of elven, loyalist, dwarf or drake main antagonist?

I believe it has been mentioned somewhere else that Undead and Orcs are vastly overused as enemies, but that's because they're clearly "baddies".

The other races are "goodies", and thus are rarely found as enemies, with the notable exceptions in HttT and Liberty, which make a pleasant change.

I have yet to see a campaign where elves as baddies have not been petty, often with no casus belli except "they're in our forest!", although you do get the occasional mercenary.

The one big loyalist "bad guy" (or woman) died early. I think Earl Lanbec'h is a human, though, right? Could be mistaken on the name, but I remember you do fight humans. Not that memorable, but an interesting reversal of perspective. That being said, I liked Shan Taum the Smug (yet another orc chief :P) a million times more. Instead of +1 and -1, I'll -2 in the interest of having this game go faster.

Landar (LoW, SoF) - 4
Mal Ravanal (EI) - 4
Khrakrahs (EI, SoF) - 4
Karrag (THoT) - 7
Darken Volk (DiD) - 3

Shan Taum (SotBE) - 5
Jevyan (TRoW) - 5
Rakshas (NR) - 3
Yechnagoth (UtBS) - 17
Iliah Malal (DM) - 5
Sagus (DM) - 5

Well, Thelarion in SotBE was participating in the whole invasion because he wanted to take over the forests of the Far North and set up an empire for himself there. Some Elves in SotBE were also mercenaries working for Lan Bec'h.

The Elves in SoF were part of Landar's rebellion, and Landar just plain hated Dwarves(as emphasized several times in LoW). I also think he wanted the Ruby of Fire, though I don't remember if this was actually stated anywhere.

The Elves in THoT(in the Forbidden Forest scenario) didn't want Dwarves in their forest, because "the masked ones"(Karrag's masked Dwarves) had began to "trouble their eastern margins".

The Elves in EI(in Xenophobia) were fighting for no reason other than the fact that the mission had to be a nice big 4-way brawl - which is the same reason why the Dwarves, Orcs and Wesnothians were also in it - but under the lame excuse that all of those races were severely xenophobic. This contradicts earlier scenarios in the very same campaign, in which Elves and Dwarves had allied with the Wesnothians.

The Elves in AToTB were just mercenaries working for the dark sorcerors who had hired them.
