The backstory for my Uridians features a powerful lich who saw the horror of his chosen path to immortality a little too late. He endeavoured to seek new lore and eventually succeeded in creating a new form of life that while not quite alive in the conventional way and harmed by holy, was not undead either and had free will.

Perhaps the story of that necromancer could be made into a campaign. I'm personally interested in telling the story of the creations after the lich is dead, but I'm not sure if I dare to attempt that.

Interesting. Do you know how to contribute a campaign?

I haven't checked out all the specifics, but making a playable campaign doesn't look that insurmountable to me. The problem is the amount of time and effort involved - I'm afraid of ending up with 1/15 of a campaign - and the fact that I'm just not that good at the game...

Same thing here, Nerdanel. I don't have any selfdoubt as far as ability, but we all know it's generally more fun and a lot easier just to play other peoples work.

I also have not much time. And a large (almost) planned contribution.

My tip: Make the same as I did. I wrote a quick scenario index file, wich I mybe add to the campaign package, wich gives an overview for all planned scenarios.
It helps you not to get confused, because you don´t have to remember all. At mine, I also plan a lot of branching and random stuff and I try not to get crazy.

OK, talk is cheap so I've started playing around with CampGen and have already started some pre-writing for the storyline. Here's to hoping I don't lose interest before I'm done!

Well, as my first unit-tree I've decided to try and build an undead "hero" unit for a single player campaign, here is the outline thus far. If this meshes with current undead campaign ideas I might actualy get this monstrocity finished(sans art)

lvl 1: Vampire
lvl 2: Knight of the Blood
lvl 3: Knight of the Dragon
lvl 2: Elder Vampire
lvl 3: Night-Lord
lvl 3: Day-Walker
