Re: Legend of the Invincibles

EDIT 11: If a unit has overlapping 'heal more' advancements paths (like a healer unit with the legacy of light), whatever was chosen last is the healing ability the unit gets. So you could accidentally replace your heal +16 with a heal +11. And in general it would be cool if overlapping advancement...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

As per past experience, I've been playing this game way too much. I got into Chapter 7, only to be attacked by elves in scenario 2. They are supposed to be "allies" and previously they never moved, but now they did and they were hostile. I submitted a fix on github, but I don't understand why they d...

Also haven't found a book yet.

I think the Gem drop rates might be inverted. I have no Obsidian, no Topaz, no Opal, but 4 Amethyst and 2 Black Pearls.
Fixed in the latest beta.
It is better, but still not correct. I have found low level gems now, but also multiple Black Pearls.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Hi all, especially Dugi. Its been over a year since I've been here, and just decided to try Wesnoth (which means LotI) again today. New item interface looks a lot more professional.

Thundering Revenge: Never crafted it. But looking at it now - why are you using Cunctator's Sword again, dabber? :D
I don't see the comparison. Cunctator's sword is for area slow ... the wielder doesn't kill anything. Thundering Revenge is for mass damage.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

If you want to post a save in between scenarios, I can edit it for you to fix the amla penetrations. But they might come back when you level again, depending upon your code.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

If you don't have the github version than that definitely might help. Note that campaign code changes apply when you start a scenario, not in the middle of one. I don't think the github version has this bug, but I didn't think the released version did either. I've been mucking around with the code i...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

I can tell why your game is wrong - the [resistance] tags don't have apply_to="arcane". But I don't know how the LotI code to create that is wrong, or see any evidence of it changing. Of course, stats.lua is almost a complete mystery to me.

Re: dabber's questions: all terrain

If I create two last breath events for a unit, but one of the events kills the unit via [kill], will the second last breath always fire? My second event doesn't seem to be firing and I'm trying to find a cause. I see both events in the save file looking correct. If you kill the unit via [kill] tag ...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Whiskeyjack, my comments: * Bow of plagiarism is useful for suck. I actually use it for that reason. * Lake of Blood seems okay to me. Sure it's almost solely a support item, but it isn't good enough that it is used often. * Ring of Unearthly Existence is probably suicidal in part 2, but I believe i...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

ciri, the storyline explains a bit of what happened to them at the start of chapter 10. For items in the last battle, the items were definitely merged incorrectly a while back. I put some fixes in the github version in January. I don't know if that made it into official download, or if other changes...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

I have the same power curve concern, but any effort to make sets easier skews the curve, doesn't it? My method maybe skews it worse because it mainly adds rings, amulets and cloaks, which are hard to find at all. The replay value concern is one that I didn't think of, although you are correct to con...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

I had the idea of taking a bunch of random item drops and making them specific set items. This has the virtue of being easy. I also wanted to add extra story flavor to each drop, but I haven't managed to do that. I'll go ahead and post this now without the attempts at extra story text. Koschei (staf...
