Re: Campaign art - Descent into Darkness
Ancient Lich Malin is awesome. There's a discussion on some area of the forums about ancient liches, and it seems like they alter their bodies to better match their purposes, such as adding extra limbs, after time becoming really grotesque creatures. Mal Keshar is a pretty young lich, and he doesn't...

Re: Questions of Death
I've always thought the undead work like this: (This is just my opinion!) A necromancer is practically nothing more than a Mage who animates inanimate objects, but have realized that animating dead bodies is much easier and efficient than, say, animating a piece of iron to become a golem. They cast ...

I just say "Maal." Or perhaps "Maahl?"

Re: The Dark Hordes rise from the dead....again
1. I'm guessing demiliches (demi is French for half for those who don't know) are the ones who still have their vital organs intact and decomposing. Then why is the demilich set as third level lich in the original post? Wouldn't a demilich be the weakest lich imaginable by that logic? This baffles ...

Re: The Dark Hordes rise from the dead....again
As for the class names.. Dark Acolyte, Necromancer, Deathmaster . Then after becoming a lich.. Lich, Ancient Lich, Dread Lich, Methuselah . If I recall correctly, demiliches don't exist in Wesnoth because liches always need a skull. Ancient Liches begin to morph their bodies into more suitable form...

Re: Project: Morningtide
We now have a few maps ready and we (or rather, my associate has) have already began working on the code. Any help would be appreciated. Especially if some artist could whip up a portrait or two, that would be great. I'll update when we get more done. Most people will actually want something playab...

Re: The Dark Hordes rise from the dead....again
I have an idea for why Gwiti would become a lich. He is ill, and has been dying for years of a disease. After gaining the knowledge of how to become an immortal lich, he becomes one to avoid wasting away. So essentially he has brain tumor or some stuff :I As for the class names.. Dark Acolyte, Necro...

Re: Campaign art - Descent into Darkness
I'm not sure about the hair on the lich Malin. His hair in his human form doesn't look long enough so that it'd show from under his hood the way it does.

Re: [Request]Reduce RNG influence
Either fix the RNG so it actually works fairly, or remove it and think of something new. The mods get that a lot. (And the third of that link has links to even more "bad luck" and "RNG not fair" threads!) The reason you think the RNG doesn't work fairly is that you remember the ...

Re: [Request]Reduce RNG influence
By the gods, I swear that the computer is a cheating illegitimate child. I feel like my units miss most of the time, and even characters with magical attacks or marksmanship tend to go on a missing sprees, failing all their four or five attacks multiple turns in a row, while the computer has unbelie...

Re: Campaign idea pitch
I agree to an extent. But lets be honest; ages of living alone in darkness with only your undying servants ought to screw a few bolts in anyone's head. That's creating an entirely new character though. It may make sense from the standpoint of simulation , but it is not effective from the standpoint...

Re: Campaign idea pitch
As has been said a few times before (not in this thread though), Malin Keshar is not evil. In fact, he has one of the greatest characters in Wesnoth, something which us mere campaign-making mortals can only dream of. Malin uses necromancy to try to destroy the orcs, who attacked repeatedly his home...

Re: Campaign idea pitch
Ahem. Let me make a suggestion here. Mal Keshar was destroyed at the end of the campaign.. or at least his physical form was. With the power amassed over years of devouring souls and gathering knowledge, he managed to, with his dying breath (figure of speech, of course) let out a hellish scream that...
