Re: Legend of the Invincibles

There would not be too many title generators, because they could cover more unit groups. There might be chivalrous, heroic, wizardly, dark, criminal, warlike, sneaky, brutish and maybe one or two others and each group of units would get name from one or several groups of titles. Orcs could get warli...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

... Could you generate titles for enemy/allied leaders/special units and for units on your side that reach max level as well? :D It was easy to do with demon lords because they are implemented as a special race in order to give them super strong traits. It should be doable for others, but there are...

Would there be a "Haxxor, wielder of giant axes"?
No, that would better fit a troll, orc, dwarf or ogre or something.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

By the way, because I am preparing to publish a new version, I am making some finishing touches and an improvement of the names of demons is among them. I have implemented a system that generates names in a much more controlled way and it's part of wesnoth 1.14, so I am going to make use of it now. ...

Strange. Can you upload a save file?

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

So, the Elvish Avenger entered the game as one of my Ally's stuff which was given to me at the end of the elvish scenario. Then it was a consequence of another bug I found earlier this week while attempting to fix the bug with units retaining the geared trait. It should not matter because of the ca...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

The problem isn't in Elvish Nightprowler, but in that specific Elvish Avenger. How did he enter the game? I suspect it as the unit debug command, which you are not supposed to use. I equipped him an item to make him update and he advanced correctly. EDIT: Because I am sick of error reports of this k...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

I have looked into it and found that a certain weapon special doubled his damage. I have found that when the penalty expired, the weapon special controlling the penalty added an empty string of damage instead of 0 damage and that somehow caused his damage to be multiplied by 2 (possibly because that...

All my damage is doubled right now and I haven't used aoe in a while. This is certainly an unusual change and development that needs more pondering if intended.
Any idea about the circumstances of this? How can I make it reliably happen? Or a save file, ideally from before it happens?

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

But more importantly, or actually the true importance was that the damage of my unit(s) kept varying randomly throughout the scenario. Attacks with an area of effect cause a drop in damage that fades over time by exponential decay. Don't use area of effect attacks if it isn't necessary and you'll b...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Legend of the invincibles" is the best Wesnoth campaign. Dugi, what do you think about creating the 3rd chapter? No. The story is finished. A continuation would have too few player controlled characters and too many enemies, which would better suit an action game. And it's impossible to make such a...

Re: The Beautiful Child

It contains a lot of useful information. You need a special program to get which lines in the source code those numbers point to, but someone has it. The developers have noticed your post.

EDIT: They've found some relevant stuff there.

Re: The Beautiful Child

It's the first one I tried with the invincible extension and it was interesting for a change, but the hero characters got a little overpowered after a while. In fact in Siege of Ziggurat my heroes killed all opposition so quickly that Konrad's troops were unable to deal even a single blow. I am awa...

Re: The Beautiful Child

Doesn't happen to me, but my version of Wesnoth is not exactly up-to-date and I cannot update it right now, so I'll have to write the report based on your observation. Your version is 1.14.2, I see, but what operating system do you use?
