I found it on the sourceforge project page last year when it first got put on sorceforge. It took me till last week to upgrade to a newer version and now join this forum though

I believe the volcanic rock you are talking about is obsidian, a volcanic glass highly prized by many stone tool using societies because it's hard, but can be worked to create tools and weapons and holds a sharp edge. If so, sorry to disapoint but its black not red.
