some WotG bugs

1: unit list that do "heals+8" have Sorceress item that inactive;
2: Dark Champion have no next level, but xp points is blue and shows like he can level up level to 4th;
3: (most important bug from 4) "chillwave" ability from Masked Hunter slows not only enemy units, but also allid units of other side but same team as Masked Hunter (or is it feature dunno);
4: description of dwarvish tank (i think i saw it for other unit too).

Other annoying bugs:
knockback ability (Steel Cybercone, Cybercore) always makes oos;
Sun Shielder Helper right before leveling up crashes game (iirc, will test it later).

So players never recruit this knockback units and sun shielder helper.

1. Because of not found portrait for this unit - fixed
2. Because of missclick on keyboard so he had advance_to=bull, n & b are close on keyboard - fixed
3. Added checking is it enemy or not, it wont hurt anymore any teammates - fixed
4. Description for tanks :P they dont have it xD...
5. Knockback - fixed
6. Wrong set id of the next form - fixed

I think I should upload today next WOTG version, without huge changes. If you know any other bugs Im waiting for next reports. I had small break because of my laptop, but I have hopes I won't have to send it back to repair service again.

The list of recruits is to big. Please split factions into smaller ones.

Just noticing that each faction is material for a whole era by others like me lol. Also on a recruit list that is being too long with units with similar roles, it's a complete struggle which one fits better at current match.

Probably you have to cut all existing factions into 2 or 3 smaller ones per each existing faction, would be a lot more playable.

I noticed you are using dragon images created by cephalo (Rich Marinaccio) for his campaign The Library Of Kratemaqht. I am going to use those images as well for my scenario Dragon Fight. Considering the total size of the images is 50 megabytes and the dragons are outstanding I thought that would be a good idea to create a separate add-on for them. So I contacted cephalo. He is not an active forum user now, but he was ok with that idea. I created Rich Marinaccio's Dragons resource add-on with the images and macros for animation. Maybe you would like to use it as a dependency.

Created The Rise of Wesnoth (alternative mechanics) version of the mainline campaign.

I recently ported his era to 1.14 as it used to be second most popular era after ageless.

This post function as notification. I plan to maintain it as best as i can and eventually improve and translate its content.
There are also some non-game breaking bugs which have to be fixed at some point.

If there are any requests or wishes, feel free to let me know.
Other then that I will update this thread soon once I did some major changes.

owo !! TONS OF HECK to balance!

I just dislike tons of nerfs wotg made to certain units eliminating their complete essence and making them just mediocre units (see floating sword for example). Still, attempting to balance wotg is another level because the amount of units on there is absurdly LARGE.

if attempting to do something here I wouldn't be as serious as in Ageless or in Era of Magic, but at least fixing things that blatant broken (like berserk on ranged at lv2 only? lols). I would like to test something different on here than on ageless, wotg is played not because its balance, just becuz its large unit diversity and MADNESS itself !!

Btw, try to remember counting how many lv0, lv1, lv2, lv3, lv4, lv5, lv6 , etc units are on the era, ChaosRider used to maintain a total control of the amount of units of each level and their total in every update he made.

Assuming wesnoth can handle that large addon, same way I use to analyze ageless code would work for unit counting here.

Heya, I was looking for WotG's unit list but was unable to find it.
Anyone know where to look? It wasn't on the Wesnoth Units Database.

wmlunits has such timeout that large eras need to release preprocessed wml for it. Or set up wmlunits locally.

I don't think WotG is worth balancing. It has some cool units but thats it. But too many unbalanceable weapon specials and abilities. It is worth considering to import some of the high lv , quality units to ageless but please do not attempt balancing WotG

This add-on cannot be downloaded when the download bar is complete, game crashed.

Edit: No error, there is no trace in the log either.

Thx ghype for uploading WOTG. Ive uploaded it on wesnoth 1.18.
WOTG has a lot weapon specials and abilities.
Random recruits is a good option since you never know what types of units you will be able to recruit.
About bugs I see none of them cause every weapon special and ability was tested atleast once until it works well.
I would say its most popular era and completly created by one person which is me. Ive used tons of units from other eras thx what you can fight with many different fractions.
About crashing game after uploading WOTG I dont know what to say since there is no logs as you said EnergieX.
