Ok, won my match against Rigor like 20 minutes ago. I was p1 he was p2. It was a Wose v. Shocktrooper on howling ghost badlands. I initially had pretty bad luck, but then it turned on his second attack, to negative for him, which cost him the match. To sum it up, I have a replay and a picture for you

I just played Gregorius, Shock Trooper vs Rogue on freelands.
A massive cavalry charge won the day for the loyalists against some dwarves who were not very attack minded.

Just some advice; I had 2 units on the left while you had 4 dwarves doing nothing. That's partly why I had such an advantage on the right. You either need to use those dwarves to attack me and force me to divert troops to help or send a few to help the defensive effort on the right.

The [acronym="10 Gryphons!!"]epic[/acronym] match v. Plk2 is in...and i lost! . Knalgans with Steelclad v. Rebels with Captain on fallenstar lake. Gryphons flanked behind the line and took a few villages, always a space or two out of range of those pesky mages. Unfortunately, they had very bad aim when they weren't flanking. In the end, the match came down to his leader being exposed to three gryphons and a guardsman. But, the first two gryphons hit 0/4 and it was over. Thanks for the match!

I had my third game today against ParadisCity. Me elves and dwarves for ParadisCity. It was a very hard game. It was all about the flying comands. They surprised me. They had a nice leaderkill chance but sucked on luck .. thx for game

Another game, this time much closer and in the proper format, against Henrythe12th.

He chose Drakes for me vs Undead for him(and he very kindly gave me a gladiator leader, I urged him to pick a saurian ) and after a 20 turn game with a couple of twists I managed to gain an overwhelming village advantage that eventually proved too much.

Thanks again for a very enjoyable match.

Just finished my game against Tesafilmchen, I gave him drakes led by a saurian oracle vs my longbowman led elves on fallenstar. Unfortunately the rng decided to mess up the drakes opening strike which left Tesa in a rather bad position. I think I would have played on for a bit to see if the rng might reverse, especially since I had my leader so far from the keep I thought he still had a chance. Thanks anyway for the game.

So that leaves one remaining match to decide the group ...

like in the first tournament its the same here:

your online in the lobby, dont respond to messages, and nobody can ever play the game. sigh...........why are u online when ur not present? why do u want to play in tournaments at all when ur the one everybody is waiting for? doesnt make much sense to me AND others.

After one more week I'll decide what to do about blue bracket (btw: Rigor and ParadiseCity, you played the wrong sides again! However, if Cackfiend forfeits I may allow it anyway, since the winner was player1. again, though, I need to think about what to do! oy vey!). Until then, try to finish up those matches!

going to go ahead and withdrawal out of the tourny, all my opponents are euro so its been almost impossible to play them and i lost the first game after it was dominated to insane luck that led to a leader assassination

Ok, the match with me v. Cackfiend is in. It was Dwarvish Steelclad v. Troll on the Freelands. During most of the match I was getting slightly bad luck, but in the end, a troll hit a footpad on a village twice, allowing a wolf to level up, and Cackfiend's leader to be killed. Thanks for the match, and thanks for agreeing to reload.

If I remember correctly you were doing pretty well in terms of rng until the luck evened out for a leader kill (actually the luck was at 0-0 at the end, which rarely happens).

a troll hit a footpad in a village 2/2 yes, u forgot to mention:

The troll that didnt want to die causing me to use all my units on it and ignoring the ones in the east

troll and wolf hitting 5/5 on a full hp poacher in a village killing it

thunderer missing ur wolf then my leader only hitting 1/3 at 50% and then my footpad going 0/2 making it stupid for my other footpad to try and finish it then u leveled it next turn and it won u the game

my dwarf going 0/3 at 50% on ur lv 2 wolf making it impossible to level my other high xp dwarf and save the game

my lv 2 gryphon missing ur lv 2 wolf 1/2 at 50% and taking 3/3 back in retal dmg (probably the only bad move i made at the end)


all this happening in the last two turns

oh i forgot to mention the high hp high xp thunderer in a hill village that trolls couldnt miss

it was a good game with slightly bad luck for paradise throughout the game and he truly deserved his victory. honestly, it was such an excellent match that ill cross link it to the 1v1 replays.

this whole paragraph is full of uninteresting explanations why u lost the game. another explanation which i support to 100% is this one:

Cack, your whinerism doesn't really suit your ladder rank. You should know how Wesnoth works already and mind you, this is just a fun tourney.

One of the reasons I decided not to join this second tourney was your inability to arrange a match at fixed hour DURING WEEKEND 2 weeks in advance.

Sorry that such a simple comment inspired your response. I really could list off a half dozen things like you did, but I think we should just leave it. If you really want to have a discussion about the luck, just pm me .

okay, well that makes it simple. The Black Sword and plk2 will play for the winner of west bracket, and rigor and paradisecity will play for winner of east bracket. winner of each match will square off in the finals!

i'll post updates and everything soon. as for further arguments, id ask only that everyone please flame properly or else leave it alone. drama is never as funny half-assed as it is blown completely out of proportion.
