I done some research, but I can't find it, where is it?.
I'm afraid it's a yet another victim of auto pruner. Question to mods- are threads destroyed by auto-pruner gone, or can you dig something up?

Which reminds me- you can use a monster called auto-pruner. It's something like Sarlacc from Star Wars. It used to kill every citizen of Off Topic that got behind the border of The Third Page. It helped to keep this problematic province in order. Recently the monster has been tamed and his whereabouts are unknown, though Shadomaster claims he know where it is, and that he can make it come back if citizens of Off Topic will start to misbehave again.
Oh, I'm sorry, did I break your concentration?

I can't find the mentioned poem, but I have dug up some interesting facts on forums :
  1. There's hidden usergroup named global moderators.
  2. Signature war happened two times(maybe more) in history, between turin and la_vie_en_wose, and between PeterPorty and Gambit.
  3. Elvish Pillager is a moderator emeritus, although he has no coloured name.
  4. There's one person in forums who called shadowm with his real name.
I will dig deeper to the deepest underground!

Other fun facts potentially useful to the story:

1. shadowmaster has an alternate account he posts from when he wants to be a regular user.
2. Turuk had a crazy knack for transforming trolls into useful members of the community.
3. There is a Gambot that monitors the forums and reports to us… well… me.
4. There's a spambot graveyard forum where bot behavior is analyzed before being deleted.

I am so in this. Sprites for everybody! At the least I'll have some fun doing baseframes for our beloved mods.

Man, I don't think I've done a Wesnoth-style baseframe in ages. It'll be fun going back to the roots.

Check this thread

edit:
I got some new fun facts
  1. If you typed 'Hitler' on search, there's 5 page of results.
  2. There are some funny/strange ranks on forums, like donkey, hodor, loose screw, mighty rabbit etc.
  3. Lot of people still loves to do lot of inapproriate/abusive things on MP, even they played it for free and they even never contribute anything but trouble. (It's fact, no offense)
  4. Looks like there are some people that hunt down newbie's question to increase their post counts
5. I accidentally reported my double post to Gambit

NRIW

Also I think it was because they wanted to give undead that type of attack too, which of course, wouldn't make sense for obvious reasons.

I remember seeing one of the developers (I think it was either Noy or TSI) say that this was the crux of it. The undead, as they were, had only cold for their magical attacks. With "holy" being renamed "arcane" it could be used for both white mages and ancient liches. The undead faction could have a bit more vareity, etc., etc.
Strange, there USED to be a link in my above post...

EDIT: Here's the old thread on it. Right here
EDIT Again: and this is the very post where the name was first proposed.

Perhaps we should start giving away bans (you know, since we are evil dictators and stuff) every time someone brings up the NRIW silliness. It’s already been stated that it’s a urban legend of sorts started by the user base.

Curse you, user base, and your wily rumor-spreading ways!

That was an interesting read about the change to arcane. It seemed to peak when Noy and some other guy both voted for Arcane and then descended into nonsensical jibber-jabber over grammatical pecularities and synonyms. I thought the suggestion of "white" damage was very amusing. :lol2:
