Well, I can't rewrite a save file which refuses to save in the first place, and rewriting successfully saved files isn't exactly going to help me. :)

how about this- when it asks you to save, if it is in a spot where it usually doesn't work, rename the file the way he said so that it does work. :)
(you can re-name saves when it gives you the 'save game' option).

lol, you got me wrong :D . Let's see if I can explain it.

Well, let's say you end succesfully the 2nd level of the orc campaign, and it says "do you want to save a replay of this scenario?" Then it asks" Do you want to save your game? Well, the scenario name in this answer is the one you must change, and then it should allow you to save it and thus having a nice and pretty saved game :wink:

I hope i'm understood now :roll: :wink:

No, I gathered that. But there are no accents in "Towards the Mountains of Haag". Ergo, if accents are causing the problem, they must be within the save data somewhere and thus inaccessible.
