[Crash Bug] The South Guard!!!

Hi I'm New for Wesnoth Game.
Please help me this crash bug!!!
1. Operating system: Window 8.1 Pro VL x86
2. Version of Wesnoth: 1.11.7 with Language is English [US] and all add-ons have installed.
3. I've got Bug in |The South Guard{difficult: Soldier(Nolmal)}/ 6.2 Into the Depths| I fight eyestalk in turn 2, when i end turn, eyestalk recover HP by regenerator. After that my game have crash intantly :( i can't continue my game :( so Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Hikarinotenjin. Welcome to Wesnoth and thanks for reporting. Wesnoth 1.11.7 introduces a number of new features and some of them unfortunately still contain a few bugs. The one you encountered is the same as the one reported here. We are aware of it and will fix it for 1.11.8.

In the meantime, I have fixed your save (by setting attack_weight for the eye stalk to 0.0001 in it) and attached it below. I think you can play the rest of the scenario from this. If not, another option would be to get Wesnoth 1.11.6 and continue playing with that version (you can load the save from 1.11.7, that should not be a problem).

New players really should be playing a stable version (1.10.7 is the latest stable version). The development versions (1.11.x) are for people who are willing to experience game-breaking bugs and who are able to recognize (and report) lesser bugs.

If you want, you could continue your current campaign using 1.11.7, but I would recommend you get a stable version before starting a new campaign. (As mentioned, the latest stable release is 1.10.7. The next stable release will be either 1.10.8 or 1.12.0, depending on how schedules work out.)

Hello I have the same bug in the same map but switching the attack weight of the creature didn't allow me to continue on my saved game.
Operating System: Windows Vista familial editon premium
Version of Wesnoth: 1.11.7 language set in English(US) and no add-ons installed

Hi MetalC0Mmander. You did not say how you changed the attack_weight, but in the savegame you posted, it was still set to exactly 0. If you changed it in the config file for the eye stalk unit, you have to restart the scenario from the start-of-scenario save (not the Turn-1 save), otherwise it won't take effect because of the way how Wesnoth loads saved games.

Either way, I've changed it in your savegame (see below), so hopefully you will be able to continue using that. If there continue to be problems, just let us know.

I've just fixed the problem I had thank you. Also for some reason switching the attack weight sometimes unable me to start any campaing as the game recognize that the unit was modifed. Sometimes, like this time, it doesn't. :? This is why the value was set to 0.0 as I had to reinstall the game to get the oiginal config file again. Also I wanted to tell you I am using the windows notepad to make the changes in case it has something to do with anything.

This bug has been fixed in 1.11.8, so if you restart the scenario, that will also work.
