1.17.13 editor query

Post by Spannerbag »

Hi,

Edit: fixed version number typo.

Trying out 1.17.13 on Windows 7 and would like a bit of help with the editor.

BTW there's an interface niggle: the menu bars are blank (empty) until there is some activity (pressing shift key, moving the mouse around etc.) after which the screen partially populates (the circled menu items appeared when I pressed the shift key as part of the screen grab):

However this goes away if I switch to another window then go back, so it isn't a major problem and I'm sure it'll get fixed :)

My main query is that given the above I just want to be sure the editor is working as intended re. height markers.
How are these used? My (admittedly quick) searches (game help, wiki and search engine) didn't find anything helpful.
Simply placing any of these markers on the map seems to affect the whole map whereas I'd've thought these were used to specify height transitions?
Apologies if I've missed the relevant documentation.

After (click and shift-click give the same result):

Any advice gratefully received.
Cheers!

There is no documentation yet. Use the elevation test map on the mp game map files to see how it can be used. That's how me and other modders are learning it.
